Just remember the body is resilient. I almost lost my Dad in the summer he was literally on his deathbed. I thought he was a goner. 3 months later he was back at work and has been doing great since. As far as the drugs go the after effects can last long time. My Dad slurred like a drunk for months after he got off the drugs. My thoughts are with you man stay strong.

Totally life is precious. You also need to be strong for your Dad too he may not show it because that is the way we are but he is hurting. Don't forget to take time for yourself as well.
