Can't see why they would trade their star player, Hall. Anyway they wouldn't receive a top goalie or dmen like Price, Subban or Doughty because Dmen and Goalie of that level are almost never trade... to much useful for their team.
What would Edm could want in return of a player like Eberle.
To anwser this question, I think you must ask yourself. When do this team will be a contender ? In the next 2-3 years ? Don't think so. In 3-5 years more accurate to me. RNH, Yak Nurse and drait.. will be in their prime. So you must target a player that fit in that window. Why target a star player who will be UFA in 3-4 years ? They already have their top players in Hall, RNH, probably Nurse too. So to maximize the return I think the Oilers will target unprouven young player with very great potential and wait (again) for those players to join the other who will be in their prime. Between now and the contender window try to pick up good vet.
If you think that the anwser is the Oilers will be contender in 2-3 years then they should target well establish players to fix holes right now.
That's my two cents.
