They both have 15 points this season. We do have 2nd and 3rd liners like that.

To get Hall I think you would have to give up Coburn, Simmonds or Schenn and probably Hagg. You might be able to make a bigger deal and get Shultz if you include a first rounder. They have seemed to sour on shultz.

I like hall and think he would be one player I would risk trying to make a deal for but you also can't ake a foolish deal. Would this work?

Coburn
Read
Hagg
Cousins

for

Hall
Lander

- J35Bacher

try Simmonds Braydn Schenn Coburn and 2nd

I wonder if Simmonds, Coburn, Hagg and 1st rounder for Hall and Petry or Schultz.

That deal would be insane for the Flyers to do. Way too much for 1 player.
- wolfhounds

your joking right? if not your a joke.

getting a hall for those parts would be insane lol. wow. just when you think you have seen it all.

I admit they won the trade, but it's not like the Bruins got a pile of poop back.
- PLindbergh31

Not a pile of poop, but not much production from anyone outside of Smith.

I think it will be judged more on a lack of patience. They traded a 21 year old kid with immense potential because they felt he lacked maturity.

There is a big difference between Petry and J Schultz. Oilers fans want Petry long term and want J Schultz out of town.

i thought he supposedly had an lbi now ?

See yesterday's blog update. He skated all-out yesterday and was fine. He said he's been skating since Saturday and took two days off from practice last week for precautionary reasons. That's the official word, at least.

Edmonton wouldn't do it, and I would not include Read.

I think it's safe to assume that the asking price for Hall starts with one of Schenn, Laughton, or Couturier, and one of Sanheim or Morin.

So if Edmonton wants Read in a deal for Hall your saying that is a deal breaker?

I don't see the deal coming down to Read, the deal breaker would come long before getting to the secondary players in the deal. Why are you so quick to want to trade Read?

another reason why the cba sucks - it causes players and teams to be stuck with each other in situations like this. i'm sure another team would have interest if the cap wasn't in place, and even his contract could be restructured. it just hurts everyone.

I don't either. I also don't think you would need to include Morin or Sanheim. I think Coburn, Simmonds or SChenn, Hagg and 1st rounder would do it.

I like Read I just don't see him as this must have piece. At 28 this isn't some young player that is going to get much better then he is. I would rather upgrade on skill but for me Read is a nice player to have but I also think he could be replaced. I think you have a younger version in Taylor Leirer who could probably be ready next season.

It was more the on-ice critique... basically said he was soft and would never fit their team identity. Ow.

Every team has players they gave up on too early and others they acquired at the perfect time.

Flyers were able to get guys like Coburn and Carle at the right times. Swing and missed on Eminger.

Even the perfect red wings gave away Leino.
