Yea, we'd be giving up 4.725M and receiving 6M. It's close but we still might be too close to the cap.

in trade proposals, when people say "throw in a pick" what pick exactly?

I miss KPE and his trades involving 2nd, 4ths, 6ths, and conditional 7ths going both ways quicker then Hagelin skates up the ice.

Vin, I don't want to continue that conversation on twitter, because I'm arguing with pleebs. But if the Rangers do offer up one of those mega deals. I want Nurse. If the Rangers are selling their future, I want more than just Taylor Hall.

If the Rangers are going to make any deal with Edmonton, I think it would be for that other first overall pick out of the OHL, especially since his trade value is likely to be very low and maybe the Rangers take a Flyer on trying to turn him around.

I'm sort of glad I'm not on twitter.

Plus I don't think you can get free porn on twitter, so its completely useless.

If we can get hall for a Kreider + Skjei + Hagelin + Pick package...I think you have to at least consider it.
- rangerdanger94

There goes our depth plus he's not 100%, don't get me wrong I'd love to add a talent like Hall but the cost and his cap hit are not workable for our situation. I would consider Staal and Zucc plus another prospect and future pick but I doubt Edmonton is going to be reluctant to take 2 expiring contracts

There is a lot of noise out there about Taylor Hall maybe not being the most coachable player or the best guy in the room. Thus, I think any team needs to proceed with caution as to what they give up for the guy, because although he's talented, he might not necessarily want to be the big piece you want to commit to if you want to put together a winning organization. He's been a big part of a team that has sucked for a long time, and contrary to what some may have us believe, it's not all Yakupov's fault what's happening up there. Buyer beware on Hall.

It's similar to evander kane. Kane gets blasted for telling the media he's sick and tired of losing. His attitude, character, and coachability get called into question. But maybe kane and hall portray that type of image/reputation because theyre really competitive and want to win.

Yeah I dont know Pete, I guess the only ones who really know are the other players. Just seems like a really poorly constructed team. I mean who is the veteran leadership. Ferrance & Hendricks? Looks like a bunch of talented youngsters all doing their own thing and not working as a team.

I've been going on and on forever about Edmonton giving their young players too much money too soon, always proven right

True, its a double edged sword for them I guess that is kind of unique to Edmonton. If they don't give the big money and long contracts they might bolt 1st chance they get. I can kind of understand both sides of that argument. Whatever the issues, man they need some big changes.

Yeah, Myers, Kane, Hall all of those guys got huge deals and now all are involved in trade speculation. It's crazy.
