No way you give up Strome. Rumor around the Internet that Hall is uncoachable...even though it's stretch that we have one...

Wanted to mention the other day how great it is that Wang is doing the right thing with the alumni this last season even though he shoved me.

So what happened?

Great line! I hadn't read that. The kid is going to be a good fit in the New York sports scene. A quotation machine. The sportswriters will love him. The fans will love him, too, as long as he can back up his talk with solid play.

He could be a headache too...might need a tough coach to keep him grounded...

I agree. Scares me what the Isles would have to give up for Hall.
- ses111

I'd give them two of the defensive prospects not named Pulock or Reinhart and a first round draft choice (whatever the next one is that we have ). If I'm a GM that's Edmonton's problem, not mine. The average of a good team being good is about 10 to 12 years, which means as long as I draft well, I don't really need my low end first round pick until about six years from now, in my opinion. I'll give that up to get NHL talent- but I already have NHL talent on my team. Mark Fayne is not my best defenseman. Not my problem, and that means this is the best I give them for any one of their top players who they're selling- I have to imagine someone will do better than that, but I don't need to.

"Uncoachable" usually means he can't or won't play defense. That is something you don't want on your team- in order to win, you HAVE TO play defense, so that to me means he doesn't want to win, whether he knows it or not. I don't want Ovechkin either, for the same reason.

Ryan Strome is a superior talent- and he's a solid defensive player. I wouldn't trade him for anything right now. If there's such a thing as a "conversation ender", that would be it, right there.

100% agree. Funny how the price is him and two of our best defensive prospects. . At this point I wouldn't do strome straight up for him.

You wouldn't trade strome straight up for hall? I dont know man...I'd put hall just shy of JT on my list of best young players in the league.

I knew that would be met with some adversity and I'll live with it. Strome is turning into about as complete of a player as you can be. He has been arguably our best fwd this year and is getting better and better. Also, he's a center and is showing elite potential in his sophomore year. Centers are much more of a commodity in today's NHL.

If Strome is part of the convo my answer is NO let alone throwing in Reinhart and DeHaan. That's completely facking nuts. It'd be nice to have Hall but in no way is he a necessity. I still think the answer for JT's wing is on our team. Capuano just has to try something different the idiot. It may even be Strome.

U really need to start exaggerating this story a little more each time.

U remember when Wang punched u in the back of the head and screamed "text or ralk ( walk)!!

Because inevitably we will all start tossing out trade scenarios in which we acquire Taylor Hall:

Can we all just agree now that Bailey or Grabner should not be included in any of them?

- eichiefs9

Clearly everyone thinks our GM is a moron. We are still trading our whole team for 1 player. Hall is a great player and I would give up anyone not on the team and a few guys on the team. None they mentioned though

Yea that package is a joke. But stromes ceiling offensively is likely less than what hall's offensive game is now. I do understand that stromes position and 2 way play add to his value though too.

Ryan Strome, deHaan, Brock Nelson, are untouchable in my opinion too... I would be more willing to trade Ok for Hall than those players. Hamonic would be very upsetting but would have to consider it.

If they asked for Grabner/Bailey, Reinhardt, and Dal Colle .. I would probably do it.

His offensive game is growing. Hes only been up for around a full season over the past two yrs so its hard to give him a ceiling but its fair to say hall may have an higher offensive output presently though I wouldn't bet on it yet. Such a smart player and his game is developing so the sky is the limit at this point.

I wouldn't trade for hall. What it'd take to get him isnt worth it. We are at the top of the conference it'd be a high risk move on Snow's part as far as upsetting the balance on this team and potentially mortgaging the future when we are already skipping what some are saying is the best draft since 2003.

Hall's game is growing too is all I'm saying. He already puts up tavares numbers and will likely put up multiple 100 point seasons. Playing on JT's wing and look out...crosby will no longer run away with the scoring title.

strome also isn't making 6 mil a year, and isn't rumored to be uncoachable or a problem in the lockerroom. watch the oilers will make a move and they'll get way less value in return. It'll be like the seguin trade all over again.

The poopty thing is that when the oilers do make a move and do basically sell their players for pennies on the dollar they'll likely do it outside their conference and to one of our rivals
