Man, they had to gut that one out to an ugly victory. Nice job getting it done.
- UIF

Well put. They were not very impressive tonight, but managed to get 2 points anyway. Of course, all this shoot-out talent will be useless come playoff time.

Any day the temperature is above 40 (5, for you Canadians) the ice in the building is just absolute sh*t. Follow the bouncing puck.... That said, two more points.

Wasn't their best game but they got the win...Bailey with a good game...It wasn't JT's night...

On the bright side, JT won 70% of his face-offs.

Boy, the D seems to have sorted itself out just by removing Strait from the equation

JT needs to sit out a game... he has fallen apart. Acting the Sid in his first few years.... slamming stick after every pass or shot... slamming the door at the bench.... we need a coach that can get him back to his game..
- Nolanders

He should get a few games rest. That spear would get him at least a 2 game suspension. The only question will be does JT done enough to get the ovi, malkin treatment and gets no suspension?

Congrats Isles! Wow, I never expected Gomez (6 points in last 5 games?!) to be a factor.
Anyway, glad to cheer for the win. My old team only had one win in the last 16 games!

oh.

Vukota warned you? Is there a higher number of attractive women at Devils games or something?

- eichiefs9

Oh no way. Devils fans detract from that. I like trashy chicks but jersey tang takes it to a level im not cozy with. This facking team . Strome . Didn't score but once again easily the most dominant player on the ice. Kid does all the right things. You just know his game is going to develop into something that you were lucky enough to witness

Strome was +2 on the night. Without a doubt he has become the best forward on the team.

OK, so Jaro is definitely more solid in net for the Isles than Nabby was, but he lags severely in the post-game Stan Fischler interviews.

Nabby was funny as hell in those Fischler interviews. I never knew a Russian could be so funny!

Top three teams in the Atlantic for the next three games. Do you start Halak Friday in Detroit or Saturday against TB?

There's no doubt that JT is not the same player this year. He's getting more and more frustrated every night. He is letting his frustration get the best of him. He's not playing with impact. In years past playing on sh**ty teams and being younger Id expect his emotions to get the best of him. Not now at this stage playing on a solid team and being more of a vet.

Whatever is going on with JT, it's likely in his head. He needs to clear his head and get backs I being JT.

Tough decision. I'd probably go with Halak Friday in Detroit. He'll have plenty of rest by Friday, and anything ..... anything to postpone Johnson's next start...

It very strange Jethro. Figure JT would be more relaxed being on a very good team this year?

I might play Halak againt Tampa. Johnson has to play again eventually. Another bad game from him and I want to see Poulin.

It's not a big money deal though. Johnson has been given time to straighten things out. Cannot play Halak every game. Have to keep the pressure on this team and the players have to know they can be replaced if they are not getting the job done.

Easily the worst fwd on thw team tonight. Thing is I kniw he will turn it around. Three obvious gaffes for jt tonight but when you have depth thats ok. Guy is still the cap amd easily the most talented plays on the ice. All's good in the hood as long as we got the two points. He will get there not even worried.

Agreed. He craps the bed again send him down. Hes been given enough rope where the next game should hang him imo.
