I wouldn't call hagelin inconsistent and skjei is one of the top defensive prospects in the league. Projects to be a top pairing shutdown defenseman who is often compared to mcdonagh.

I have. He's been better the last two. I know he'll come back to form. Unfortunately.

Not even close? He ranks 10th in the league in points scored over the last 3 years. The players ahead of him are 5 centers (crosby, getzlaf, giroux, backstrom, seguin), 3 RWs (kessel, kane, MSL) and ovechkin who could be considered RW too. So he's definitely close if not the best.

Kreider is still young but very big and fast, Hagelin helps there depth, Skjei heard is a very good D prospect, the difference is the 2016 pick instead of 2015 (which tis is the draft to have as many picks as possible)

As I said yesterday, kreider + hagelin + skjei + 1st for hall. Gives them a top 6 lw to replace hall, a good depth forward that is defensively responsible, a highly touted defensive prospect, and a 1st.

Like I said the Oilers aren't trading Hall for two inconsistent fwds. A decent prospect. And what will probably be a late first in a not so strong draft. Their entire fanbase would storm the castle right after.
