I will get eaten alive for this but I would consider paying something resembling that price for Hall.
Let me strongly reiterate two words in that sentence CONSIDER and RESEMBLING.
He's arguably the best LW in hockey. I think you have to at least think about a package involving some of those guys that Gentile mentioned in that article. I do not think the haul will end up being as much as he suggested, but it will no doubt be high. - eichiefs9
Hes the best LW in the NHL whos last name starts with the letter H. But best in general... not yet, maybe not ever.

Benn, Parise, Nash, and Sedin all could be considered better than him but I'm not sure anyone else is. And Hall is 23...Benn is only 25 but the other 3 are much older. |

Hall is definitely top 5 and very possibly the best LW in the game. I remember you said you dont think Hedman is an elite defenseman either? You gotta brush up on hockey outside the Isles my man - rangerdanger94
No the conversation was me asking the lightning fans if they had that pick over again would they choose Duchane over Hedman. I got slaughtered for even implying they didn't get the better player.. i wasn't being a troll I wasn't being a wiener but there were quite a few on there that responded to me as if I kicked their mother and sister in the VjayJay... so after that I just started pushing buttons.
Don't ever let me push buttons!

I think you said that he doesnt belong in the same conversation as weber, subban, etc. but I'll let it slide this time bud. - rangerdanger94
No, someone responded back to me about TB player raises. I said unless he continues to produce like Weber & Subban. Then the whole convo went in diff directions bc ppl twist a post and come up w/other things. Subban is almost making $10m per, I cant see Hedman make that unless he puts up Weber & Subban offensive type numbers, that's all that it was. Can he, yes, is it possible, yes but don't have a crystal ball to predict it bc a lot can happen from now until his contract ends. |

Dude your knowledge is lacking bc Patches is in top 3-5 discussion easily..... And can be debated on top LW but still give it to Ovi who u also missed.... |

Some people feel he is, others don't. There's definitely an argument that he could be. |

Patches is great but not better than those guys. Ovi has played the majority of his NHL career as a RW. So has Nash though so I see your point that Ovi shouldn't be excluded especially since hes been playing LW a bit more this year. |

Just asking, u really think Hall is the best LW in todays game??? Sorry bro, I don't...
Plus I wouldn't give up more than 1 top prospect for him and another 1 or 2 roster players not name (Strome/Nelson) Lee I would part with but that's all out of the kids. Grabs/Bailey/Clutterbuck all can be had too..... Call me crazy but on a lesser extent, rather have Perron - very underrated player (when healthy) - Ur Not Me
One: I said arguably...as in you can make a case for him being the best LW in hockey, not that he is hands down the best.
Two: Who would you consider better? Ovechkin has played a ton of RW this year so you can count him out.
danger pointed a few out that maybe some would some would put before them, which is a matter of opinion and fair. But Hall is the youngest, fastest and scored at nearly a PPG pace last season. |

wow about Patches, kid is unreal and has gotten much better every year. He just doesn't get the exposer bc he's not flashy, just a dominant LW
I think its bias bc he's American born playing in MTL, so most of the talk is Subban & Price who are both canadien
Hate to say it but I think he's the best MTL F on roster...... And top 3-5 LW in the game today |

On Ovi, didn't the coach move him back to LW? either way this year or not he's played majority of his career as a LW. But u are right about being based on opinion. No dislike to Hall but think some are better.
1. Ovi
2. Parise
3. Benn/Patches either or
5. Hall
off top of head, not sure if I'm missing other names??? |

Not quite sure but I thought Ovi has mostly played LW in his career, I do know last year he played RW mostly but felt more comfortable as a LW, which I believe he's back to playing again??? |

If we are going to consider Ovechkin a LW then yes, he is the best in hockey.
I would not personally put Parise or Patches in front of Hall though. Benn is a tough call because he brings a lot of other things to the table along with offense.
Outside of Ovechkin (if we are including him) I would label Hall as probably the best, with Benn being barely a hair behind him. |

You wouldn't trade strome straight up for hall? I dont know man...I'd put hall just shy of JT on my list of best young players in the league. - rangerdanger94
You know, being a fan of your team, how important it is to play defense. Strome gets it, at 20 years of age, or whatever he is, and you can't put a price on that. I'd rather have a lot of good offensive players than great ones who can't or won't play defense. Offense for guys like Strome and Hall is about talent....defense is about work ethic, and Edmonton doesn't seem to have that- they don't need to trade Hall, what they need is someone who makes them afraid to come back to the bench after defensive errors of omission, for fear they might not leave the pine for the rest of the game. A couple of years of your old coach would probably cure what ails them more than a trade. |

Yea I understand. I wouldnt trade stepan for a pure offensive center because of the value his defensive play brings. |

100% agree. Funny how the price is him and two of our best defensive prospects. . At this point I wouldn't do strome straight up for him. - Cptmjl
That's the price in some Edmonton fan's head. I'd have to polite....well, no...if their GM asked for all that for one player, I'd probably laugh at him, let's face it. I wouldn't trade Strome, Reinhart AND Pulock for Crosby, never mind Taylor Hall. |
