So if this sorry cluster of players, that we thought would be more entertaining but still get us to 30th, is actually good enough to hang with a bunch of teams...does that mean with all the prospects we have that we should be good enough in 2 years to be battling for playoff series wins?

If so, does that mean that we should therefore look to trading some of these picks for NHL ready players...young future top 6 prospects?

Bottom line is, you gotta give to get. If you want Hall you gotta give to get him, if another GM wants Myers, you gotta give to get. IMO.

Could be . The prospects we have are still a year or 2 away. Who knows what will happen.

So maybe the Sabres #1 pick is at its highest value now, assuming The Sabres continue winning more than losing. Therefore, get maximum value now by trading it and something else or two for a top 3 player, young enough to be here for 5-7 years..not sure who that is , you guys know the league better than I do...but something like a Hall.
