Shhhh...I know I was merely trying to 'SENsationalize' it a bit.

Ohhhh, sorry, I only saw the last few posts and didn't see what was going on.

Take your time...go though all my posts, all of them...find one where I said I want to trade Myers.".go ahead.".yep, thought so.

I will say thaT he could have avoided his penalty in the 3rd period if he played it more aggressively by driving his legs to ride the forward off the play. But I have liked his play this season. And I maintain it wouldn't be a bad thing if he grew a pair and hammered a couple of forwards every now and again.t
But you refuse to even acknowledge that part...which is what many other posters have said as well, but keep your ear plugs in.
Done looking yet...go on, I have all year.

I hear you but you are arguing with a guy who has no reading comprehension. I had to lay off for a while because its infuriating to have someone not only miss the point and repeat themself ad nausea but also accuse you of saying things you never said and put words in your mouth. Plus, stashu always deletes my posts.

The Hall discussion is interesting. I was on board with finishing last but apparently that isn't going to happen. I think the comparison to Seguin isn't necessarily valid. From what I remember the Bruins didn't like what Seguin did away from the rink. It doesn't seem like the Oil like what Hall brings what he is at the rink.

I think the real question is that IF we wanted him could we get him without giving up one of Zads, Risto or Girgs? They could have anyone else. I'm a big Myers fan but I'd give him up as part of a package.

Hall sucks no heart but maybe a change lights a fire under his ass. But I dont want him. Rather take a flier on Boedker (sp?).

I'm ok with him having his opinion, that's fine.
It's the personnel attacks that go over the line. He took my comment to be pointed at him only...which it wasn't, it was pointed at both sides who refuse to even acknowledge the thoughts of the other side.
Personally, I see both sides and I think the truth is a mixture of both.

It is what it is.

good game last night boys......that was fun to watch.

it's the first time i've gotten to see you guys play this year, and your team looks good.

i always felt the sabres were a little underrated, as they had made what i though were some pretty good under the radar pickups in the offseason (moulson, gionta, meszarros)....not flashy big name guys, but still solid vet players. i had a feeling that if your young D could get their games going, your team would be better than most thought.....and it appears they have. Risto and Zadorov (sp?) look really good. was praying that risto would drop to ottawa in the draft (bit of a pipe dream).

anyways, good game......feel free to pass us in the standings, Connor would look good in a sens jersey.

Not sure if anyone touched on the weak Hall rumor, but..

Stewart, Mitchell and a 5th, right?

That's the thing - in theory someone would be buying low on a potential superstar. He could be Seguin or he could be Semin (ok, he couldn't possibly be Semin). I almost never want to be a part of those kinds of guys as we only ever seem to remember the few that did turn it around (Chris Carter in the NFL always comes to mind) and ignore the mountain of examples that didn't.

Price will be too high. Go for someone else. Id personally try to get Malkin with a Myers package including a few 1sts. But nhl wont even take that deal so meh.

He does not suck. Not even close.

He's the only one, or one of the only ones on that team with some heart. Guy busts his tail every game.

If you'd rather have Boedker than Hall, you don't know enough about either player.

I've got no interest in any 30ish something centers. We want guys for the next 10 years, not guys that are in the middle of their prime. Our major talent wave is two to four years away. Also, Pitt would have absolutely no interest in picks as their time is now.

I could not agree more.
Did anyone else catch the snub by Risto on the Sabres 1st goal when Cody went to hug Risto after the goal and Risto pretty much pushed him aside to celebrate with everyone else and Cody was left "outside the circle of trust"?
Ahaha, that was priceless.
Cody and his lack of passion needs to be sent outta here asap.

Hodgson was one of our top scorers last year, but this year he has been lost and unable to find any chemistry with his merry go round of line-mates.

He played well with Grigo and Stewart in camp. Now that Grigo is back, Teddy would be smart to put them back together and see if they can get it going again. If the line is put together again, and still fails, then its time for Cody to go.

That's what sucks. For me there was no worse team to watch than the teams of 3 and 4 years ago. I couldn't have cared less that they were around the playoffs. The teams sucked and I hated half the players. That said, I fear we are going to finish 10th and be in a terrible draft spot again. That's one of the reasons that an all-in tanker like me finds Hall so attractive.

You get off easy then.
Some come here to post about hockey and some choose to sit on this website all day and night.

I come for a good ban every once and again.
By the way, Myers was awful again last night.

I'm guessing it's gonna take myers and something of somewhat value to get hall.
I wonder if there is a way to get hall without giving up myers or other things we want to keep.
Like Pysyk, nyi 1st and stl 1st enroth and armia

I'd make that trade in a second if I am the Sabres but there is no way Edmonton doesn't get any of our top 3 young defenseman if they are trading away their best player.

I figured as much. Probably myers plus for him. We get hall we could then use our 3 1st round picks on defenseman. Bcz we would be pretty deep upfront.

HH, I felt I always treated you pretty fair. What's with the attention seeking and insulting people who are here a lot?

Want to drop the act and just, like, be a normal human being?

Even if we lose Myers we are still set with defense prospects. We know who are top 4 are for the next few years (or 5, when you cound Gorges) and there are guys like Ruhwedel (sp) that would be fine 5 - 6 guys. I am getting best player available in the first round if I am Uncle Tim.

If we do happen to use all 3 picks in the first round at the current standings, I'm shooting for a sniper. After that, hopefully a D is one of the next two picks, but BPA is always a smart choice.
