dont get me wrong. i love simmonds. and again, he would be absolutely perfect for malkins line.

id actually be able to root for simmonds. love how he plays.

but if im valuing winning above all else, lucic would probably be able to grab the team by the balls and just provide that nasty bumhole swagger.

but, if i could add one, id pick simmonds, due to the fact that i actually respect him.

Yeah, Simmonds might be better eventually, if he continues to improve, but he isn't right now, not if we're comparing what the two have done so far in their careers. Now if we could have Simmonds and Lucic on the Flyers.

And as for a physical presence, Simmonds isn't even close to what Lucic can bring.

i honestly dont know if i could handle lucic on the flyers.

like i said. i see simmonds. wish he wasnt on the flyers. but its impossible not to respect him. it would be like someone who is a flyers fan telling me they dont respect dupuis. obviously the talent level is way different. simmonds is simply a better player. but i dont see how an objective hockey fan could look at either and not respect them, regardless of their sweater.

lucic on the other hand. god, i hate him.

I hear ya. Players like Lucic you hate on any team other than your own. He's no Avery or Cooke as far as a dirty player, he's definitely on the edge, but that's ok, he does what it takes to win. So long as he's in your favorite team's jersey.

i have to give him credit. he actually does have talent. he is a hell of an impact power forward.

and, he certainly is not a wussy. he will look you in the eye and take you on right then and there. no hiding or skating away. but yeah, god i (frank)ing loathe him.

but the pens need a true power forward more than absolutely anything. i would move prime assets to acquire one.

He's a beast, like you said. His iconic moment for me was when he ran Miller. That was brutal, and nothing happened. Of course, if karma is working as it should, Boston is going to sink as the Sabres become a powerhouse. I'm in favor of that if only because they are a small market team and have endured a lot of suckage these past years.

Lucic got hit then beat somebody up? Did you see him get laid out? It was quite awesome. Only time I've seen him look like a little female dog on the ice. He got laid the (frank) out, then cried about it.

I still don't get what Loocheech was female doging about. He had initiated the fight, had engaged, and got laid out. Too bad ya cheap frak.

Not to mention, the way he initiated it was going straight to the back of his head with a cross check like a female dog.. Add to that the fact that he threw a Crosby-shot at Prout once the refs were in between...

Take look at the stats the past three seasons. Simmonds is better.

Maybe not better, but definitely an equal at this point.

Ever since Milan Lucic dropped, not one, but TWO "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" declarations in two separate public incidents, he lost me.

Then, the on ice stuff I've seen him pull, I think he's a joke.

I'll take it but in terms of effort and point totals the past three seasons, not to mention being the best in the crease on the PP and the best a long the boards, I like Simmonds a lot more. Lucic in my opinion is most known for what he did before the Bruins Cup by being a tough and nasty player who can score. At this time Simmonds was still in LA as a third liner without PP time. I think Simmonds has surpassed Lucic. The issue with Simmonds is that he's not built like Todd Fedork, so he might not get the same credit as Lucic.
