Going to take a while to get out of the mess Gillis left behind. he basically rode Nonis' and Burke's work till there wasnt any gas in the tank. I use to call him the "Generation killer"...remember?

That is what we are seeing...the huge generation gap.

We can still clearly see AV's flaws... horrible season starts still.... turtling in the playoffs.... throat lausenges.... still draws that mole on with eye liner every morning.

- boonerbuck

You also said CoHo was a top 6 forward............remember?

I think our GM would have still drafted Davis. Bibby Davis Francis
- VANTEL

Drafting Francis made no sense. Could have taken Baron Davis and he would have been just as good minus the horrible attitude.

Lu had a shutout in game 5. Sorry but that finals loss wasn't on lu or coaching. Our PP went for a hike
- Bieksa#3

Ya sorry dude a negative goal differential aint gonna get us no championship and much of that was on Lou. Sure our PP had gone dead but man all we had to do was steal ONE game in Boston. I'm not blaming Lou solely but alot of it was on him...He is a known choker. As soon as that weak wrist shot by Marchand went in (from the corner almost) in GM 6 Schneider should have been the man and that's coaching. Plus AV failed to counter the changes that Julien made after GM 2 and we just couldn't get rolling.

Our PP sucked, our goals dried up and LU let 13 goals in from behind the red line. Plent of blame for everyone. Which one sucked more, does it matter?

Did you see the highlights I posted of game six? LU had us out of that game minutes in.

If the pp was rolling or even existant, the bruins would have laid off the cheap shots in fear of getting penalties

having to wait until the 6th pick in their first draft was BS. pick number 5 that year was some guy named Kevin Garnett.

You wanna credit Burke fine. But nonis had one play off appearance in 4 yrs. And he traded a ton of picks
- Bieksa#3

Gillis got service out of acquisitions Nonis was credited for as well. Edler, Luongo(traded for assets), Burrows, Schneider(Horvat)... others. Gillis got more service out of those few than he did his own players even. Hammer and Higgins seem to be the exceptions... but doesnt tilt it in his favor thats for sure.

As far as what happened while Nonis was here.... not much. His few good moves payed off after he was canned.

Ya I saw the Hilites. Lou should have been sitting as soon as that first Marchand goal went in from practically the corner. If Schneider keeps that a 1 goal game wow...what could have been...

So Canucks prospect Patrick McNally has a higher ppg than Justin Schultz at the same age in NCAA. This is our last season to sign him before we get "Schultz'd".
- Nucker101

Thats career stats? How about this season alone? How does it compare?

poop, I stopped following McNally after being very high on him. Praying for him to return to form. Our PP doesnt have much future on the blue line.

The Bruins didn't need to lay off the cheap shots after GM 2 because Gary's boy's allowed them to do whatever they wanted...which was also a factor.

Could have picked Mighty Mouse rather then Big Country. Hell the only decent pick the team made was Rahim and even then Pierce and Carter were picked after

I don't think our blue line has much of a future period. I mean Tanev is at best a 3 and Frankie at best a 4/5.

He was. He spent the last 2 seasons on the top six for the Sabres. He led the Sabres last season.... poops gone south with Nolan. Not being able to improve his D play has him falling out of favor with the coach.

I'm trying to figure out why this was inserted into the conversation but you've always been the one bringing Coho up the most on here.... so I guess you still havent let go of Gillis yet. Lately, you are the only one left defending Gillis... like the other day. Now I criticize him and you pull this out of your hat... so revealing.

I didn't think Cedarholm looked bad last camp. The big question for me is the dude playing in the KHL . I am curious to see him play. One more year under contract

He played on the 4th line the last couple weeks of last season. And a top 7 forward on buffalo is like a 4th line on most teams. CoHo had defensive issues here and an attitude problem. Same problems there without skilled guys giving him points. The guy has always been garbage. The fact that you cant admit that and the fact that u were in fact dead wrong is the most telling thing of all.

Subbs looks like possibly a low end move mover as well but both have a long ways to go

I think he could be redeemed on another team. I'd trade Gaunce and a pick for him if Buffalo kept half of his cap.

Would u trade Kassian for him. After all the main point of my post was to point out booner said over and over again how Vancouver got robbed in that trade.

Oh hell no; Kassian should be moved for a need. Trading for CoHo would be a gamble with low odds of panning out.

I don't think either team has won the trade, but Kassian at this point is a more useful player in terms of "productivity"; even if he his producing at a low level.
