I think we could lose every game for the rest of the season and still finish above EDM - bezz44
I will accept that as a challenge |

Edit: unless you are implying Sedins for 1OA at the draft - bezz44

All we need is a 1st rounder from any non play off team. We may have one already - Bieksa#3
All depends how we handle the next 10 games |

So Canucks prospect Patrick McNally has a higher ppg than Justin Schultz at the same age in NCAA. This is our last season to sign him before we get "Schultz'd". - Nucker101
We need him and Hutton signed for next year. I don't see much on the farm that I would consider anything special. Corrado is looking more and more like a depth defenseman. Ideally i'd love to see them signed at season's end and hopefully Utica has a long playoff run so they can gain some great pro experience right off the bat. |

A pretty crummy shot. Even dead last only gets you a 1/5 chance |

Grizzlies actually won that draft lottery, but weren't eligible to get that pick due to expansion rules that didn't allow toronto or vancouver to win the lottery for the first 6 years..... never seen a rule like that before or after! is that racism? where's kaptaan? |

somehow i think Bettman will make sure it goes to a sunbelt franchise or one that isn't as stable as the Canucks. |

He is an excellent regular season coach, but he gets out coached in the playoffs against the. Top teams - VANTEL
This is exactly it. Quenville, Julien and Sutter all outcoached AV in the playoffs for the most part.
But one of AV's biggest gaffs was not starting Schneider in GM 6 in Boston 2011 after Lou has just taken a pounding in GM's 3-4.
Starting Schneider in GM 7 would have made sense too but we all knew AV was going to live and die with Lou and die here with Lou he did.

Lu had a shutout in game 5. Sorry but that finals loss wasn't on lu or coaching. Our PP went for a hike |

Buttman will do whatever he can to screw all CDN franchises with the exception of the Laffs now. Now that Sportnet is in Buttmans pocket I wouldn't be shocked to see Buttmans refs put the Laffs in the finals as a favor to the centre of the NHL universe...golden suitcase my friends... |

Remember that draft? Just god awful. Daniels was picked 4th and probably turned out the 5th best player in the draft |

while he does have some weaknesses, maybe people are realalizing AV wasn't to blame for as much as a few on here wanted to blame him for - Bieksa#3
Going to take a while to get out of the mess Gillis left behind. he basically rode Nonis' and Burke's work till there wasnt any gas in the tank. I use to call him the "Generation killer"...remember?
That is what we are seeing...the huge generation gap.
We can still clearly see AV's flaws... horrible season starts still.... turtling in the playoffs.... throat lausenges.... still draws that mole on with eye liner every morning.

You wanna credit Burke fine. But nonis had one play off appearance in 4 yrs. And he traded a ton of picks |
