Once cizikas comes back that will happen.

Agreed. I think they'll return him with Lee and Nelson since Cizikas should be back soon. Bailey invisible again....

Bailey just does not want it enough. Even if Lee does not score he is very noticeable.

I thought Grabovski played well too. He's been MIA.

I finally got a glimpse of what Reinhardt can bring. He's not ready yet, but he played well. Donovan was ok too.

Reinhart did play well.

Reinhart had a good game...played with an edge. Donovan seems to always follow up a good play with a not-so-good one.

Good job tonight. I was thinking after Kane scored that goal that this is why you need to play hard every night, because sometimes you're going to play well and lose anyway, and then they caught Chicago napping and got it done. They needed that. Let's hope they learned a lesson about sleeping through the third period, now that they've seen it from either side of the coin...

Yeah, see the difference between Reinhart and Strait is that Reinhart has the potential to get better....

He also played great in the neutral zone all night and almost scored a few times. Defensively he was strong. That offensive zone turn over hardly defined his game imo.

I thought the 4th line played great tonight. Agreed that Strome's talents are not fully utilized playing with Martin and Clutter, but it's only temporary until Cizikas gets healthy.

Strome, Clutter and Martin were each +2 tonight.

- JohnScammo

I think they should try Strome on the PK...

Meh, you can't give the puck away like that especially once playoff time comes. Teams like this Makel you pay. He was -1 for the game. It was not defining because the boys came back and scored 2 or.....

Here is a stat that Jack Capuano is apparently unaware of:
The Isles record w/ Strait: 11-8-0
The Isles record w/o Strait: 9-2-0

Obviously, some of that is due to the absences of deHaan, Visnovsky, Boychuk and/ Hamonic, but a fair amount is due to the presence of Strait.

I have to say Donovan has not been very noticeable when he's been in the lineup over the past 10 games (and I sincerely mean that as a compliment).

Reinhart, in his 2nd go-round has been noticeably good.

Throw in Pulock with 9 goals in 22 ahl games, and it is hard to fathom how or why Strait sees NHL ice again for this franchise.

I loved it when they announced he wasn't playing and the crowd started cheering!

How can something so obvious to everyone still take Cappy this long to figure out!

Great win tonight!

Great win! . And thank god strait was not in the lineup. If he was, it would've been another ass whopping, and a 4th consecutive loss.

I went to the game with a friend. Driving to the game I told him Bailey was useless and he disagreed. So every time Bailey was on the ice I pointed out when he touched the puck, and if it was in the Islanders favor. By the end of the game he agreed with me. There were times when he was literally just standing there away from the play.
