Shocked at what the bruins have become. You guys need a retool as your too good to get a good pick but not good enough to threaten for a playoff run.

I seem to be in the minority on the Bs fan side of things but.......I think your spot on sir.

Thanks......and again.....your a bastard for grabbing bobby ryan....he would have made us a piece or two short of a Cup run....IMO.

Good pick up by you guys and great signing.

meh

We had our share of setbacks. Do I think we would be in first with a healthy lineup all year? No, but I want to see what this team can do with its normal roster before I would get drastic.

Damn it.....

I'm so sick of "we need to be better,"

"We need to burry our chances,"

"We need to be better,"

"We tried hard,"

"We played well, just didn't get the bounces,"

Wtf.....it's called skill....we don't have it.

Danial Paille with an empty net and he jacks up the post......am I surprised..NOT ONE BIT.

Too many role players.....no skill players.

Bergy, Solderberg are the most consistent players on the team but can't carry the other 10 forwards ALL SEASON LONG.

Marchand and smith are SUPER STREAKY.

Lucic is a hart trophy player for 5% of the season....the remaining 95% he is useless.

Ericksson > Kelly > Campbell.......these are two way layers with diminishing skill levels.
But.....Kelly is not who he was when we won the cup.....
And not one of the three is as good as peverly when we won the cup.
Campell needs to be traded and we let Cunningham center the fourth line.

Paille.......wtf....why is he still here.

And the players we called up in Florek, Griffith, and even Cunningham are closest to Ericksson, Kelly and Campbell replacements.......potentially upgrades......but they are not skill players that we need to make a BIG difference....

We are screwed.......as is we make the playoffs as a 6-8 seed and get spanked in the first round.

And then how much better are we going to be next year if we stay as is........

Those types of deals where you trade mediocre guy for star talent usually end up good as stars are hard to find. Joe Thornton trade is an example, boston got 3 very mediocre at best players and San Jose stole him from you guys. Hard to understand why so many gm's are so gun shy to do those types of deals

This is your personal perspective obviously because its only natural for the league to showcase teams with larger fan bases. Not sure the Blues or teams in the middle of the pack in terms of following would generate the ratings that both NBC and the NHL desire.

That being said I would love to personally see some fresh blood in there but a Boston/Montreal winter classic has to happen. Its the greatest rivalry in hockey and they might actually produce an exciting game.

I think this stadium series is a way for the league to include these other teams like St.Louis, Minnesota and Colorado.

The Winter Classic in Boston set the record for lowest amount of viewers. So if NBC is dictating based on viewers, going back to Boston makes no sense. Blues also did better last year in nationally televised games than say, the Detroit Red Wings, who had solid Winter Classic ratings.

Additionally, St. Louis is basically ineligible to host a Stadium series game, it's Winter Classic or nothing. Coors, the Stadium Series sponsor, is not going to go for an outdoor game at Busch stadium.
