The last couple of articles I read at the P-D with quotes from players being highly defensive and deriding fans a bit.

First Ott says it is easy to talk pay back by guys who have never played the game. That coming from a guy who can barely play it at the NHL level.

Then Steen quips about how easy it is to judge players by stats on a piece of paper and not what they do on the ice.

I wonder where this passive agressive behavior is coming from? Is it such a partial quote we are missing the context? What do you guys think? Are they addressing the media and which media or are they throwing this garbage at the fans? A bit defensive for guys without their name on the Cup.

Someone needs to let Johnson know, no matter how many he scores tonight, we'd still rather US Olympian Kevin Shattenkirk.
