And that's why the Flyers didn't make the trade, because they felt they'd have a huge gash in their team.

Now, that's no way to talk about Shea Weber.

You're not putting your facts into context here, and that's why your so-called facts are truly opinions. I'm here to discuss the irrefutable facts, and the fact is that Darrell Powe works under the umbrella of the Philadelphia Flyers organization. I'm right, you're wrong. You can to to paint this any way you want, but these are the facts and they are indisputable.

If you use logic instead of trying to insult me, and stop gussying up the Penis Mightier, you'll come to the same conclusion, and that is that I am right. Your system of contract dispute and penile enlargement devices is flawed, because you don't view it with the proper amount of context. That fact is that the facts are, in facts, factually facts.

In the end, you'll find that Bauer is a far superior stick to Mission.

- jmatchett383

You can try to couch your opinion any way you like but it is still not based on any facts. You've brought no facts to this discussion. When you are ready to discuss this discussion with facts and not try to lace it with opinions that you present as facts instead of actual facts and set aside what are obvious personal issues then you'll see that Warrior sticks are far superior and that's why Powe does not in fact have a Flyers contract because of his reliance on Bauer technology. I've studied both that technology and the contracting circumstances and found a circumcised penis is far easier to care for. Do you disagree with this or can you finally understand what I'm saying down to you?

Giroux and Coburn are the only players left from a Stanley Cup run a little more than four years ago.

Team's turn over like that, though -- I honestly don't have a real problem with that.

The only thing I wish they would've done is found a way to get a defense prospect with mobility in either the Carter or Richards deals, one they could've attempted to develop, but even with that, there were going to be growing pains

They took their shot, missed. I honestly can't say I fault them for trying to steer it in a different direction

This is crazy talk, but what would you guys think of moving MDZ to left wing?

Hey you, stay out of this. Go put on your Sidney Crosby jersey, put on your jeans over your Penguins boxers, make sure you have your officially-licensed Penguins' wallet and your house key with the Penguins handle logo, grab your backpack with all of the Penguins patches on top of it, hope in your black-and-gold car, and go lawyer me up some insurance fraud money.

I prefer him on defense, but understand why some don't

If it comes to that, I'd rather the Flyers find a way to bring in an actual LW and let Del Zotto move on

Not sure. It's never been found out if he can hit a curve ball or not.

I'd like to see Del Zotto resemble the dynamic puck mover, along with solid defense that we saw for a few weeks, on a more consistent basis.

Well, as it stands now, they don't have a ton of LW options. MDZ has been a healthy scratch, but has more offensive talents than some unnamed Flyers' forwards. Was just think maybe he could Sbisa his way back into the lineup.

"The Flyers and Jets have been scouting each other way more than you'd expect cross-Conference teams to be keeping tabs on one another...but with good reason...

The Flyers have long liked Byfuglien and Bogosian while the Jets have always wanted Couturier and the Schenns.....There have been rumors in the past pointing towards an interest in Evander Kane, but I continue to hear Montreal and Buffalo are much higher on Evander Kane than Philly is.

Yesterday, on the Cranky Hockey Writers show, Kevin Allen and Eric Duhatchek discussed how teams used to make more player for player trades to shake up their organizations when the team appeared to be getting stale. I believe the Jets and Flyers may be thinking along those lines a little bit right now."

I would not be happy at all

Understood; I'd like to believe if they decide they just don't want to play MDZ, that he showed enough to have some value in a trade

I don't know what happens when they're not playing, as far as attitude and dedication, so maybe that lessens him around the league. I don't know. But when I watch him play, I believe he's still a legitimate NHL player with some degree of value

You can't do it now...already drafted the defensemen and have gone through the growing pains with B. Schenn, Couturier's only 21

Gotta ride this out. Hard to watch, some nights, but you can't move them for other people's problems

From the comments I've read that Del Zotto has made, they have all been positive as far as how he has been dealing with being scratched, from my viewpoint.

I was watching some old fights, mostly of Probert. I came to the realization that fighting is dead in the NHL.

Nowadays, whenever two "tough guys" fight, it's like they're terrified that they may get punched. Back even in the early 2000's, you had guys who were fine with just trading, and they knew they were going to get hit. It wasn't the tie-up/quick jab, hold, hold, re-tie up, sneak jab, tie-up, tie-up, hold, duck, jab, clinch, end that we see far too often nowadays. It's sad, because some of those fights are absolutely legendary.

Truthfully, I could see the Jets coming after Coburn -- totally serious.

They think they're a playoff contender and you have to wonder if the GM realizes he's already fired a coach and the time might be now

Are you saying you don't enjoy the fights where each guy grabs the other guys sweater to keep them at arms length, which taking turns throwing wildly over the top, until they both lose their balance and fall to the ice?
