In my opinion, you don't bring up a player like Leier because he's young and hungry. If Leier is NHL ready, and he can help the team, then by all means. But if he needs more AHL time, leave him down there.

At some point Lecavalier is going to get back in the lineup. What he's suggesting is not an outlandish idea.

No doubt that would be the best way to use Lecavalier. I just don't know that the Flyers should be arranging their team to try and fit Lecavalier in. I don't know how he has looked in practice, but I have a hard time agreeing with putting him back in the lineup.

I've been as big as a supporter of Lecavalier as anyone. I gave him all the benefit of the doubt last year due to his injury and the position change to LW, which he couldn't play. When he came back from the foot issue this year, he didn't do anything that showed he deserved ice time. Think about how bad this team has been, and yet, I can't come up with a reason to play him. What does that say? Like I said earlier, I can't see how he looks in practice.

Raffl-G-Vinny was a thing for a bit. I think Vinny-G-Jake got some time together, too.

He spent more than 100mins last season w/ G, and 50+mins w/ Jake. Dragged both their numbers down across the board.
