I don't think Chicago would mess with that Seabrook-Keith pairing.

ya i was thinking more along their lines of $$ issues. so maybe if they threw in Bickell too. or Hossa. but it's all moot because every competent NHLer has an Edmonton clause in their contract. i'm sure of it.

a decent GT can be had for pretty cheap though and let's be honest, if they were to flip a 2nd here for Tokarski it's still a huge upgrade for them
- dt99999

Condon has decent stats in the AHL he could backup Price I guess.

I don't think theres that many decent GTs available.

Reimer would be a significant upgrade. it's amazing though that you see a guy like Bernier traded for nothing. guys like Boychuck and Leddy traded for nothing. how does Edmonton not get in on this stuff?

no sane agent would let his client sign a contract without one.

they're in a corner too, you can't really pass up on a guy like McDavid without looking any dumber than you already do.

They had chances to draft a top D guy and they didn't take it. If they finis 2nd or 3rd in the lottery I guess they could always trade down a spot or two and maybe pick up a nice piece plus a chance to draft the best D in the draft but knowing them they'd probably accidentally draft Glenn Anderson

That team is a mess.

I'd gladly take Brouwer or Ward off their hands.

Panik on waivers has been quite a serviceable 4th liner for us, got a few goals too.

I understand that MacT has a tough time making a good trade right now. What I don't understand is how he has a job.

Katz firing Lowe, MacTavish and Co.. means he'd fire the heroes of his youth.

There is a long-term plan in place.

Keep losing and draft top 2 in draft.

Trades will happen in the offseason.

well put. Fasth/Scrivens is unforgivable. only thing that makes sense (that goalie duo, not going after Boychuk/Leddy) is that this was always going to be a tank for McDavid.

They had a good start.

No decent 2nd line centre, defense anchored around Green, Orpik and Niskanen, Holtby in net...?

They won't make the playoffs.
