They would be stupid to trade Hall.

But then again, they signed Benoit Pouliot for 5 years.

why would they be stupid? maybe a break from the status quo in Edmonton isn't the worst thing in the world. if they drafted McDavid it would give them the luxury of being able to trade one of their forwards for help on defence. and Hall has the most value by far. if you're talking about bringing in a #1 D, he's the only one who can do it.

problem for them is with no. 1 D is they're tough to find and rarely traded and most of them will probably have an NTC.

their best chance is probably going insane on a UFA.

a decent GT can be had for pretty cheap though and let's be honest, if they were to flip a 2nd here for Tokarski it's still a huge upgrade for them
