meh. when he was in his 20s he could have been the most dominant player in the league. he had special talent. he didn't give a poop.
- Fountain-San

He turned Cheechoo into a 50 goal scorer albeit with the Sharks.

It's not relevant.

on Tuesday one of our players scored on a clear breakaway from our own blue line.

when I saw the scoresheet they gave the goal to a kid who was on the bench at the time.

I'm gonna see if the city can maybe stop hiring surly teenagers to keep score.

not at all. like i said Kessel wanted out and Seguin did nothing but party and tune out his coach. like i said the return wasn't great but those deals needed to be done.
- Fountain-San

Kessel wanted to be paid like a guy who scored 36 goals and the Bruins didn't want to

say what you want about him. the point isn't that they traded these guys, it's the the weak returns they ended up getting.

I was a scorekeeper as a teen.

Oh. I see your point.

the Bruins wanted to keep Krejci and payed him. Kessel clashed with Julien and wanted out. they were never going to pay him more than Krejci.

This is what I agree with.

Bruins raped and pillaged the Leafs in the Kessel deal.

But the return for Thornton is a real head scratcher.

I don't buy that he is responsible for their playoff woes.

But I watched for his reaction to being snubbed by Team Canada at the Olympics. I didn't like his response. Basically saying they needed to pass the torch to the younger players.

I thought he was deserving to be on that roster but his response does indicate his character is lacking.

Yeah he should have done like St.Louis and whine endlessly. That's a great character trait.

I never said I wanted him to whine. But just look disappointed and say something along the lines of his snub lighting a fire under his ass to prove the hockey world wrong.
