Do you follow hockey at all or are you just a nuisance on here?

Calgary has the 5th best record in the west, ahead of LA, and the 9th best in the whole NHL. Yeah, AHL, nice job.

Oh I forgot, Edmonton can't even compete with my local high school teams!!!

I have no facking idea? I just have no understanding why a rebuilding team would move a 24 yr old defenseman who according to their fanbase is a future Norris cadidate? Some say for an overpay. What exactly do you think you're going to get as an "overpayment" for Meyers. A first and a mid level prospect? Than you have to spend the next few years developing those prospects. Makes no sense.

Maybe he cares too much about winning and therefore is a misfit for team identity?

Have you actually watched them or just scores?
- Iggysbff

No i have watched some games, about 7-10 all together, but you don't get to be a plus 17 in goal differential without all i stated above.

what about Doan's NMC?
- jimbro83

He's playing for the yotes... if a true cup contender wants to trade for him, I'm sure he'd move in a heart beat. Especially for an up and coming team like Calgary. He grew up in Alberta so I'm sure he wouldn't mind spending his last few years for a blossoming hometown team. Buuuut he's also played for the same franchise his whole 18 year career... If the rumors are true-- what will Doan choose... Loyalty, or him wanting to win.

I've always like Doan. Great character kinda player, fairly consistent in that he always seems to get at least 55+ points a season. Around 22,23+ goals. And as mentioned before, he's stayed loyal to the franchise that drafted him. Phoenix has never been known as perennial winners and he's stuck through it. I think that's really admirable.

They are the Avs of last year. Or Toronto of 2012/13.
Getting out shot and outchanced almost every night.
Good on them but its not going to keep up.

Only giving up 2 more shots against per game as opposed to their shots, 10th in powerplay, 12th in save %, yeah their pk could use some work, but socould some other top teams.

"Struggling Chris Stewart will be the Sabres' healthy scratch Tuesday, and he isn't happy about it. Well, at least it appears that way. He isn't saying.

Stewart avoided the Sabres' dressing room after being the last player off the ice and changed in the back. His equipment got loaded into a shopping cart and was delivered to his stall by an associate equipment manager."

You have to include shots AT goal, missed shots and blocked shots to see the true picture, Donk.

lol have you watched them other than the first 5 games...Flames have been at least equal and usually the better team of late. Their shots for and against are almost even the the goaltending has been good but hasn't had to be spectacular

With lesser talent the Flames were a tough opponent going through the final stretch last season. The trend of playing hard has continued this season. Are the results sustainable? Good question. If I had to guess maybe they fall back a little but given the fact they continue to play hard for Hartley that alone should lead to some wins and remaining in the race. I can't really compare the Flames to the Aves simply in that the Flames consistently play within their structure whereas the Aves do not and relied on Varly to bail them out consistently last season.

Even if its true, we ars showing 50x more progress in year 2 of our rebuild than your team has shown in 8 years. Regression may be a forgone conclusion but we are obviously on the right track.

Now go cry into your Oiler blankey. ..
