I wouldn't disagree with saying he is like Flynn who may be better.

To me, Larsson should be in the NHL, splitting time between the 3rd (mostly) and 4th line, playing wing. He is an RFA, and I am guessing they bring him back. See what he has now. By the time he gets to UFA status, you will know what you have and how the pipeline looks, and you can simply not sign him if others are ready to take his spot. You can also easily sign another impactful player at a low salary to take on a bottom 6 role if needed.

There's a problem with that logic though, and it's that he'll need to clear waivers to go to Rochester after this year. Yes, you can resign him, but he may not make it through waivers if we don't have a roster spot for him here.

Moving on from Stafford by the end of the year and (hopefully) Stewart should help make some room though.

qb play is the biggest need, and he did nothing this past offseason to address it til august 30th

people look back in hindsight and say peggy should have moved ruff and regier during his first off season, why should it be any different for a team that has had a 9-7 season in 2004 (third in division) and no other winning seasons since 1999
