If Randal Cobb had Kyle Orton hed have 600 yards
- hubie

opinions vary

watkins is going to get over 1,000 yards this season and woods already has 587 yards

so are you saying woods is better then cobb?

I'm sorry for not being so positive about the players as of late..

i was definitely drinking too much Kool-Aid about marcus foligno, cody hodgson etc.

it's time to clean house of these players

My issue with Larsson, is that I think we have a bunch of guys that will be coming up from the system that play like that. There's only so much room. I just don't know that he's done enough to warrant getting an NHL spot so far. I think we already have a guy that fills his exact role in Flynn.
- HonkFortheGoose

I wouldn't disagree with saying he is like Flynn who may be better.

To me, Larsson should be in the NHL, splitting time between the 3rd (mostly) and 4th line, playing wing. He is an RFA, and I am guessing they bring him back. See what he has now. By the time he gets to UFA status, you will know what you have and how the pipeline looks, and you can simply not sign him if others are ready to take his spot. You can also easily sign another impactful player at a low salary to take on a bottom 6 role if needed.

May just be me but the 1st half play calling seems to be good its once you hit the second half its like they forgot how to coach an offense. THey play scared, scared of a turnover etc
- hubie

yet they came out flat vs the browns, lions, chargers, broncos, and vikings in the first half

I just think marrone is over his head and would be better suited on the sideline for the buffalo bulls instead of the buffalo bills

- gerbe75pts

yes, not because of the timing of the trade, but the trade itself. This isn't Myers getting moved. The return will probably be minimal and I doubt we notice that much of a difference on the ice.

God no, but having a top 3 vs a bottom 3 ob helps greatly. Id be intersted to see when the yards are coming from both.

For instance eveyone keeps saying Kelvim Benjamin is doing soo great and was a 3rd or 4th or wherever he was drafted. But gets all his years in scrub time down by 20 in the 4th.

Cobb I know has got a ton of yards in the 1st half

Probably?

The idea of packaging Stewart and Hodgson for some kind of decent return is not a bad one, but it's $8.4M going out the door, and that would put them below the cap floor unless they took roughly $2M at least back in salary.

Maybe combining Stewart and Hodgson along with offering to take back a bad salary that exists for both this year AND next year would really help the potential return?

Could not agree more Homie.

If Larsson is not here next year in place of the never resigned UFA Kaleta, something is seriously wrong.

There are a few that make kaleta expendable, and he would definetly be one. I think flynn makes him expenadable as well.

my biggest problem I guess is if your going to give up 2 first rd draft picks for a player, make that player be your franchise qb, not a wr when you have nobody to get him the ball
this d will break down in the next 2 years, strike while the iron is hot, and I think whaley missed the boat on this
the o line can mask qb problems when you hit with draft picks, he missed IMO with the o line picks

the coach has no swagger, looks like the players do not believe in him, and it seems like a divided room, the d vs everyone else
I have only seen 3 competent coaches for the bills in my lifetime and I am 43, very frustrated

Someone on PHT suggested a trade with CHI:

Stewart for Bickell and Morin

Discuss.

I'd much rather see a 4th line of Deslauriers Larsson and Schaller

I think our PK stats would agree

Oh I do agree it was too much to give up. Nowhere in history has that move ever proved to be the move to put you over the top. Did it work for the falcons? Certainly no and so on and so on.

Edit; and dont forget abou tth ecoaching its not like Marv was a great coach in KC

That is 50% of a quality bottom 6. Never hurt you while on the ice, help playing D against other teams good players, and be able to chip in from time to time offensively.

Hmm looking at his stats he is hurt a lot. Good point. He's a LW though, which we need.

Enroth would be my choice as the one to go as I believe Neuvirth is the future, along with the farm system, which makes Hacket perfectly acceptable as the backup.

To me, Larsson is playing exactly like the player he is and there is nothing wrong with that, as you said. He's an ideal 3rd/4th line winger that won't cost a lot of money, will be a big time pest to the other teams good players, play well defensively, and chip in offensively. I'm not sure where all the hate is coming from towards him.
