So the Sabres just need to make sure they get the last pick in every draft. Way easier than the first.

Honestly Chicago and Anaheim are terribly short-handed in goal....we need to be shopping Neuvirth

let Enroth hold the fort til Makarov or Ullmark step up

Hackett can back him up when he comes back from IR...stick Lieuwen as the backup for Ewok until then

- feetontheair22

Lieuwen has had a really rough go of it in Rochester this year. Not sure why, because he was really good for them last year, but he seems to be fighting the puck.

While I'm good with trading away a goaltender, you still need someone competent behind the starter. Right now, that's not Lieuwen.

Hackett is going to be interesting to watch once he gets back from his injury. It might have actually been good for him, as weird as that sounds. Sometimes when things aren't going right, they fight the puck and the basics get lost in trying to do too much to change their fate. This injury may force him to essentially "start over" since I'm assuming rehabbing an ACL injury is far worse for a goalie than any other position.

That's why included the "yet". Once he gets back he will need a couple weeks in Roch to get back in game shape. I still agree with your post .

Did somebody say meaningless slang and marginally legible mispellings and half-statements?

I knew my ears were rining for a reason

I would go the other way with this proposal. By which I mean, shop Enroth while the price is probably high, and let Neuvirth have the wheel for the balance of the season.

Even with all his outstanding work over the last week - 10 days, Enroth is barely pullilng even with Neuvirth's sav % and GAA for the season (haven't checked in a game or two).

Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli was taking in the Sabres game last night while his team was out west. Chat with Murray?

I would trade any of the 3 that are with the Sabres now....obviously, Hackett isn't going anywhere until he's healed, but if someone wants Enroth, and the deal is right, I would just figure out a backup until Hackett is good to go.

it wasn't really about emulating, it was an example of winning without a first overall pick...

I actually like how the kings did it and was a big proponent of their model...only had one top-two pick

- Michael Pachla

You're forgetting the 2 top 5 draft picks that helped tremendously in creating their Stanley cup team... Jack Johnson and Brayden Schenn
