We are the lowest scoring team in the league. What Myers has to do with that I have no idea.

Here are my thoughts on the topic of wanting the Sabres to win/lose:

I will never actually hope my team loses a game. I'm not wired that way. No matter what, I watch each game with the hope that they will be the winner at the end.

However, with how things have been the last few years and with the prizes that await the worst teams this year, I'm not upset when they don't win either. There is where the difference lies for me right now.

Can I see one of those top 2 prizes slipping away at the moment? Sure. But we never expected to see them go on winning streak like this back during the midpoint of October, so just as things swung one way, they can swing back the other.

Let's not forget that Edmonton had a little win streak back in October, so it's possible that it could happen to them again as well. The season is a marathon, not a sprint. There's 82 games and each one of them counts for something at the end of the day.

We haven't been scoring . since game 1. That has seemed to change the last 8 games. We do have some decent goal scorers on the team. Lets see what happenes say..10 games from now. Remember. nobody cares how you played the game. they care about the final score.

if this team finishes 24th-20th in the nhl standings at the end of the season, does peggy need to question murray moving forward?

Depends on what Murray sold him on. If this is part of the plan then probably not, but if he was promised eichel and gets "insert some guy here"..

I think so yes. HE flat out said the 2015 draft is the prize. Sure it means we won some games, which is great, but for long term success of the organization, what good does it do us? (See Buffalo Bills)

if the sabres do no tank

would you rather they finish 10th in the east and get the 10th overall pick or finish 8th in the east and get bounced in 5 games and get the 15th overall pick

only answer from the 2 choices, or ignore the post

At that point, I'll take 5 playoff games.

never said that

the team is at a cross road

your not going to hold the kids back, nor moulson

this is time for murray to steer the ship in one direction or the other, standing pat is what darcy would have done

time for murray to put his stamp on the team and if tanking is the plan he has the wrong coach and the wrong goalie right now

10th overall pick. Will hold more value in a trade, could use it to move up or get a good player.

Helps you long term. Also considering how good the west is, that pick may be higher even if they finish 10th in the east.

Eventually, the goaltending will come back down to earth. This team is still getting manhandled in the defensive zone and their puck possession is still nowhere near good enough to do anything worth writing home about. It's simply bend but don't break right now.

This is where I disagree. We are without a doubt playing better. However it statistically is still really bad.

If by mid-season we are winning 4 of every 6 games, Sure then gear up and go.

However we could just as easily lose the next 3 and be back in 29th or 30th

10th. Still a lottery chance. and the team will be on the better end of the rebuild. At one point they need to win. Getting the #1 pick will mean the team has to go through the chemistry thing again. They are starting to get it ahead of time.

only stats I care about is wins and losses and how the kids progress

we are winning right now and the kids are playing well with a full pipeline

just my opinion, but if they win a few more games, say 7 out of the next 10 games, murray needs to throw the kids a bone

Same except I think the saunders move closes the door on Melky, which im okay with. They offered him 3x39, he's not worth more than that. His stats suggests he'll cool off. Id rather they take that money and address the bullpen (even the starting rotation with Happ gone).

His bat won't be as missed as most people thought with a top 5 of Reyes,Martin,Bautista,Encarnacion,Donaldson.

9th

JK, 10th

edit: Its a tough question. I've spent a year and a half gearing up for a tank. I want nothing but pick 1 or 2.

If his ceiling is the past 7 games wtf do you trade him? Edm is not desperate, they flat out suck.
- DynamicThreads

The tank.

Edmontons front office is under more pressure than any team in the league (maybe aside from Toronto) to get better in any way, shape or form. Their goaltending is the worst in the league.
