so 9 straight SO losses dating back 5 games into last season. aside from the devils last year, i wonder how many other teams have ever lost that many in a row. i'm willing to bet less than 3.

Just think. The team got to the SCF by winning a must win in game 82 via shootout.

Hey hey, look who got a point tonight!

They better start shining up the cup for us.

What's with the feathered hair? Is "Frampton comes alive" playing while he's polishing Lord Stanley?

When he gets done, he pulls a joint out of his jacket pocket and sits back to admire his work...while listening to some Frampton. Oh yeah.

I figured out how to get around the adblock blocking at my favorite sports streams site tonight...it wasn't worth it

WTF. The team has hung with Anaheim twice this season, taking them to what I am now calling the post-OT forfeit both times, they should be winning some games against lesser opponents. This season should not be feeling like that season that shan't be named.

THIS. I agree, but this team has continued to make me re-think that premise.

They are hard to watch. Not "The Season that Shall Not Be Named" hard to watch.

But this sucks.

No, it does not feel like the dreaded 06-07 season at all.

The team is just in a very serious rut. I truly believe they will get their act together very very soon.

I like playing Devil's advocate sometimes.

I'll make all the jokes in the world about Ed Snider's love life. I mean, the dude's on his 4th young trophy wife. She's likely banging someone younger on the side, but that's beside the point. Ed Snider is an ideal sports team owner in many ways:

- Wants to win
- Willing to spend to win.
- Invests heavily in the community (anyone that disputes that can get (frank)ed).

Ed's not Jerry Jones.

Just watched the DVR.

Mason was solid overall, but could he make himself any smaller on that Maroon goal?

Read's late 2nd period backhand pass from the point in the O-zone that was supposed to go parallel to the blueline but angled more to the slot for a giveaway...oh boy. I cringed. Literally. He wasn't the only one, but that one stands out.

MacDonald is very timid in the corners. Barely touches puck carriers. Tie them up a bit already. And his delay of game penalty...

The Vatanen goal. That whole 'awareness' thing again. Ugh.

They just need to take the good things they did tonight and build on them for the game in LA on Saturday.

Fell asleep after the first, will watch later today.

See that Umberger scored. Cue the Zombie Apocalypse.

Remember, head shots put em down for the count
