Actually, to make it more interesting, what is the combined +/- for the line?

I go with -5.

In 4 1/2 minutes of ice time average.

One of my favorites ever was this whole thing about trading Bryzgalov, Simmonds, Brayden and Luke Schenn to Edmonton for choice of Khabibulin or Dubnyk, Hemsky, Eric Belanger and Nick Schultz. Also, Briere for Shattenkirk and a 2nd.
- NickTheKid87

its a shame too because i love trade proposal rants/hypos

I was positive he was going to die on the ice. That was brutal.

I am within reason. when Homer took over he and Snider preached patience and did a good job turning the team around but then as in all years past the pressure to win brought some bad contracts. I personally don't want to see any of 28/93/10/14/12/17 traded. its still a young core of forwards. I would do whatever it took to unload 18 and 40.
- nastyflyergirl

I know it might sound a little like conspiracy theory but from day 1 I wondered if Hextall did the deal for Umberger knowing that the loss of Hartnell would grease the skids under this team if they started losing.

Are we allowed to blame the architect who assembled this wretched cast of characters?

The Frank Lloyd Wrong of GM's.

- PLindbergh31

To everyone's credit, you are all highly intelligent people but most of everyone in here has reduced themselves to repeating themselves everyday. Giroux and Voracek are the best of the best. Lecavalier and Umberger are the worst of the worst. So who in between should be getting scratched because everyone is fair get right now.

Berube's throwing a tired Mason out there against the Ducks is almost guaranteed to end badly. But the Dunce is desperate.

Both.. he takes Mason out on the ice, and then Emery when he's on his way in to replace him. If it's an extra spunky night, Emery's stick will go flying down ice after Coburn takes him out, and hits Anderson. 3 goalies tonight.. book it.

Grossmann has been one of their steadier and more reliable guys all season, IMO. Of course, that's a relative description. But he hasn't been out for all that many GAs this season apart from that run of PPGAs where he and everyone else couldn't do a damn thing right.

I do think Coburn, with the exception of only one or two games, has really struggled since his return to the lineup from the injury.

- bmeltzer

This year or the eye injury in the 2008 playoffs?

Thanks for another quality article, Bill. Here's hoping the Flyers play better tonight.

I like how it's falling over now. As if you had just smacked it after watching a give away. Or that you're actually a phantom and just can't put it down, damn drinking game!

Does Read deserve a vote in confidence right now? We've already pointed out that Berube gives undeserved rope to some players. Matt Read might be one of those players.
- SuperSchennBros

You know, I think I am seeing him start to skate better, and he is showing signs of coming out of his slump.

I would keep playing him at this point.

Detroit's early pull was bad but tonight's might be warranted.

Ok, here is a really depressing thought. 4 of the bottom 6 teams are all in the Metro. So next year there is a possibly that McDavid and Eichel could BOTH be playing in the metro and neither of them for the Flyers.

While I feel differently, it doesn't mean you can't be right. You very well could be.

I thinks are definitely being made up now, to criticize Berube. Mason is tied for 24th among all NHL goaltenders in games played. And is 26th in the NHL in total time on ice. 469 minutes behind the league leader in time on ice for goaltenders, which is Cory Schnieder.

I knew it wouldn't be seen at avatar size, but it's the glass design.

That, and it's fitting that E's a bit 'off', as it were.

Would playing with an empty net all game give the strategy away too much?

- WarriorHockey21

Worked in the last 12 seconds of the Sharks game... let's give 'er a go.
