As an interim for the rest of this season, maybe. I doubt he'd be a long term cure here.

That said, I don't know that changing things up temporarily would do anything other than confuse matters. Best thing might be to wait until the season's over to make any kind of switch. And then...no.

I would be willing to wager they don't pick in the top 3. I'm guaranteeing it.

I dunno... I believe this team is legitimately bad. I also believe the Jackets (bad luck + injuries) and Oilers (bad luck) aren't as terrible as they look right now.

I don't recall that....back then I only saw a few games here and there. thank god that changed. I do remember 7:30 games. even that was late. I got season tickets for the first time for the 82-83 season and had them for a long time. then a 10 game plan. Now I can find them on stub hub very reasonable. Of course that doesn't help for the playoffs

I think they are pretty bad. But I think the fact they have 2 elite players, it will lead to an unexpected hot streak at some point during the season.

Imagine if they got the # 1 pick, and didn't take McDavid.

Bylsma is an awful coach, but however he is very good with mid-card talent. Upper tier talent and vets he just has no clue what to do with. For instance Paul Martin was openly very upset that he was let go.

The kicker for me is that 28/93 are playing maybe their best hockey ever, and this team is still losing badly. Mase has been good, too. That really tells you something.

This team is just badly coached, has poor depth everywhere, and doesn't have the resources (movable picks/prospects and cap space) to do anything about it.

I liked it when the Flyers got him.

I liked it when they got rid of him.

That about sums up the Jeremy Roenick experience for most people I know.

if it got them #1 overall I actually think I would be ok with it. the NHL owes us one ......worse team by far and still get the #2 pick

Bill, thoughts on a deal that involves Read + L Schenn for Horcoff from Dallas? From a cap standpoint, Horcoff's $5.5M is gone with his UFA status at year's end.

If they have the #1 pick I think it NEEDS to be McDavid. I don't want any kind of tricks or nonsense. If Eichel turns out to be better I can live with that, but if they pick Eichel and McDavid turns out to be Sidney V2, I can not stomach something like that again.

It was one game. L.Schenn, Lecavalier, Bellemare and MacDonald have all been scrtached too. I'm sure after last night more are on the way.

Way back when, weekdays were 8 and Sundays were 7:30. I don't recall when things changed. I do remember that when there were a lot a fights the games ended so late that they didn't have enough time to get the highlight film on the 11:00 news because it had to be transported physically to the studio. Hard to believe.
