Currently at 3rd-overall, 11.5% chance to get McDavid.

Just wait til we have an injury to Jake, G or Mason to deal with.

Getting better

- 3flyerkids

Unless they get screwed like they did in 2007, by getting the 2nd pick not the first. Then the SOB that they should have had, scores the Cup winning goal against them. How ironic

Not the smartest play by Laughton, dropping it to Schenn. Schenn misplayed it, the defense got caught flat footed, and then Coburn and Wingells killed Mason. The only skater on the ice in white that didn't screw up in some way shape or form was Simmonds.

Mason deserved a much better fate he was stellar all night

Accurate summary. Man am I glad I went to bed at 10pm.

The Habs one is the best

Montreal Canadiens: I’ve made this recipe way more than any of you. I could easily do it again if I wanted to, but I just haven’t felt like it recently. Still, it was really great when I used to make it all the time a few decades ago. Would you like me to tell you about it? Let me tell you about it … [Click to expand comment. 72,000 more words.]

I see that last minute game losing goal, as a microcosm that points out all the issues that plague the Flyers. Bad decsion at the blue line leads to a neutral zone turnover. It's great that defenseman step aggressively to break up a play, but if you don't get it, it's by you for an odd man rush or breakaway. Coburn misses the puck, I applaud his effort to get back, but he takes out the goalie. Compounding the other errors. While I don't think that Simmonds can be directly blamed, but neither Simmonds or Schenn busted it to get back. Neither probably could've gotten there in time. But Simmonds stood at the Sharks blueline, literally not moving and watched the whole thing go down. On that play, I don't think he could've changed the outcome, but that's how bad habits form. Can't be standing still under any circumstances. This team does it too much.

Giving up a game winning goal in the final 10 seconds vintage Flyers.

Remember a month ago when people thought this Sabres team was the worst NHL team in recent memory? They are now ahead of the Flyers in the standings. Unbelievable. Shows what a legit coach can do.

I blame Rinaldo for the loss last night. If he would have knocked John Scott out with one punch that would have set the tone and got the boys going.

- PLindbergh31

I blame Mason because the Flyers haven't had a legit goalie since ever,

Well at least Sniders concerns about secondary scoring were put to bed last night. Couturier scored!

Nashville Predators: Ugh, my annoying neighbor from Philadelphia keeps coming over and trying to borrow my Norris defenseman.

So the 2nd PP unit last night was MacDonald and Laughton on the points, with Raffl, Read and Couturier up front?

Can't get made when expectations are so low. Which I'm ok with so long as there is a plan to become a beast of the east again. Right now, we're more of a cute, furry gremlin.

In this draft, you really can't go wrong picking 1 or 2. Thankfully.

So, Bortuzzo killed Jagr with a somewhat late hit last night. Loved DeBoer's comments about a hit like that on Crosby leading to "World War Four."

I thought they played a solid first period, and an okay 2nd period. I didn't watch the 3rd. Went to bed. Wasn't really commenting on the game as a whole. Just stating that one sequence showed off all the Flyers problems. Bad execution, decision making, effort. All on one play.

And you hear the arena cheering and shouting "that's what you get for being a little b**ch"... You stay classy, Pitt. You know the guy is one of the best players ever to play for your team, let alone hockey, right? Frickin bandwagon Pens fans...
