McKenzie: Dreger reported on Insider Trading tonight that people close to Lecavalier say he's ready to retire after next season. #Flyers

Smart mov by Vinny to try and get the (frank) away from Berube. No one wants Vinny for 3.5 seasons. Maybe a team wants him for 1.5, or just one.

Skate around for a little bit, watch his line-mates go in on the forecheck and then glide back over to the bench.

Forgot wondering why he isn't getting more ice time.

I like him as well, I know he's another I mentioned often last year.

How about Mathew Barzal?

If he opts out of his deal now can go wherever the f he wants and enjoy his final year.
I'm sure the Bolts would take him back for cheap and stash him as the 4th line RW or something.

I don't think his play here is the end all be all. He had a nice start to the season, most notably against the Devils, I just think it would be nice to see him play with actual talent. At this point in his career, I think he can only be as good as the players he plays with.
- SuperSchennBros

I agree to a certain extent. I think playing with a play maker and puck distributor would certainly help him. I saw a player that to me, isn't playing with enough intensity, has been guilty of not moving his feet too many times. And just isn't getting into the right areas of the ice. I don't expect him to be a puck pressure player, because I don't think he has that in him anymore

Vinny rumor destroys my two year plan which was basically sparked by trading Coots(hold your rotting vegetables please) along with Vinny for a playmaking LW, allowing our current guys to slide into better suiting roles, creating depth scoring and getting us out of cap hell.

The new, much abbreviated two year plan: Year One: Trade Coburn for Tlusty and a conditional pick, then Rinaldo at the deadline fore some picks. Year Two: Buyout Umberger in July and bring along the D over the course of the season. Get a pair of vet wingers and rebuild the 4th line.

My thoughts exactly
this season has to be disappointing for him
Why stick around for another one?

That better be a pretty high conditional pick, otherwise no way would I trade Coburn for Tlusty.

If he asks for a trade and his agent is allowed to make teams aware of this someone will take him sooner rather than later.

He's had an interesting path he was once very highly thought of but he was among 3 players who walked out of the Lethrbridge Hurricanes (are badly run & not good) & was then eventually moved to Brandon.
