Yakupov's potential wasn't questioned. But they could have traded that pick for better picks. At the time Reinhart was a good looking prospect. And he is still very young to rule out as a good defensemen.

If recent history shows us anything, one line can't carry a team. If you don't have the right guys behind that line they are that much easier to defend and line up against.

The Pouliot signing was one of the worst this offseason. They need a stronger lineup that can support Hall RNH and Eberle.

The fact that they still haven't made a trade of either Perron or Yakupov to help out makes me believe they are in tank mode.
