I still don't understand why Tinordi and Beaulieu are in Hamilton and not playing on a nightly basis. - dt99999
maybe it's to keep their salaries down for next year? they're both RFA in the offseason and the longer they're buried down there, the lower their hits next year will be. |

yes and thus I still don't understand why Tinordi and Beaulieu are in Hamilton and not playing on a nightly basis. - dt99999
I find Therrien is to reluctant to let his young guys grow. His treatment of Subban in the past was bewildering at times. His reluctance to give Sekac his shot over Bourque was bewildering. His continued reluctance to let Galchenyuk play center is a head scratcher for me.
Playing back to back nights with Gilbert in the press box when he would have fresh legs over Allen is another head scratcher..
I don't think he is a bad coach. His past would indicate that like any human being he was making decisions that would keep his job safe.
But with his new four year contract you'd think he would feel a bit 'safer' to let some of these young guys play. |

He was making mistakes nightly. So I understand the idea of sending him down to play more minutes since he has been replaced by veteran defensemen.
But the fact that said veteran defensemen are also making mistakes but still slot in nightly is confusing. Veterans can make mistakes but if a young guy does he is sent down and replaced?
Not sure what message that is sending, but it seems like an intensely high pressure situation for these kids when they do get to play once and awhile. - blarneylad
fair enough. but i what defencemen comes into the NHL and plays mistake free? who can you point to? Jonas Brodin who came in and played with Ryan Suter? maybe the issue is that they don't feel they have enough quality defencemen to pair with the young guys? |

it was a bad penalty. I didn't mean to suggest it was unmerited, if that's what you're asking. - EricEngels

Crosby is a concussion away from being retarded. Therrien didn't teach him how to keep his head up.
Malkin is a prima dona Russian, and the years of Therrien yelling at him have taken a toll. He will jet to KHL soon. |

Also, I believe Enroth didn't stone Galchenyuk on the shootout. I think Galchenyuk hit the post no? |
