You still doing your painting and stuff? I liked those ones you did where you took your old drawings and did them again. Cool idea. - weirdoh
All graphic design all the time now, I just paint in "live painting" events which I stopped organizing. Outside projects with lucrative (and fun) potential, but I'm due for some new real artistic stuff. Tomorrow I start a music album design, with full liberty.
And it's funny you mention the kids drawings thing because I've been looking at drawings from nephews and nieces lately and it's still very inspiring.

Man that's killer. You're living the dream. Doing what you want to do. Not too many people can work at their hobby.
What do you mean by "live painting"? Putting on a show or teaching people?

The usual formula is in a bar, like a friday night, 4 to 6 painters bring their material on stage and just do a painting at their own beat. We usually invite a band or a musician to jam, on the floor with the public. We prepare a long table with full of paint, brushes and small canvas so the public can draw or paint and join the fun. Very relax, no precise schedule, everybody can chat, walk around when and where they want. Did some huge nights including body-painting and DJs in my time and Montreal and now I just enjoy the low-profile events.
edit : and I enjoy mostly when I see a dozen people at the public table, kids and old people, just painting and drawing and having fun.

Sounds quite interesting actually. - Not_Stee
It changes from the classical formula of everybody looking at the band on stage and just be a spectator. And everybody goes back home with a creation they would not have done at home - including the artists on stage. Creating is very often something that goes with a kick in the butt. Those nights were nice kicks.
