i think he's probably past the point of having to pay dues.

The forwards (outside of G and V) aren't good enough to generate offense with very little help from the defense at moving thru the neutral zone. This team does not get the puck in deep with speed, or carry it into the zone, nearly often enough.

I'm just a guy on a laptop, but I wouldn't do it

Not because I think Couturier can't be traded -- every single person can be traded, even Giroux

But you have to maximize the values of the players you trade. It's pure (frank)ing misery watching Wheels and Umburglar try to play NHL-caliber hockey, but you have options to not watch it. You can scratch and waive, then buyout

But you only get to trade guys once. If you're gonna move Couturier, you move him for max value, not to move contracts that this franchise just needs to man up and (frank)ing eat
