I would like nothing more to draft either 1 and the Sabres with the city of Buffalo deserves it but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I think TM's next few moves will shed a little light on where this team ends up. I doubt they'll go on another 5 wins out of 6 run so there is that but If he really wanted he could make key moves to guarantee drafting Eichel.

Flying to Tampa this week. They wait until everyone boards to decide the left engine doesn't work.

Nice, you can catch a Lighting game down there.
I may go to Buffalo buy tickets out front tomorrow night!

Not that I get 'em a snowballs chance in hell at winning in Denver but it's nice to see the Bills in the mix on December 1st.

I have more faith in Orton (not saying much) than EJ but I think EJ's legs give you a better chance at winning next week.

Ennis received the #2 play of the month for November (behind Tarasenko's goal at #1) on NHL.com

I really don't see these guys going .500. Enroth will cool off and we'll pick up 4 points in a 10-game stretch soon enough.

I don't either. I looked at the remaining schedule the other day and came up with something like 19-34-5. 61 points should get you around 29-30. The question is will Edmonton continue to slide and what about Columbus? Looks like we have some competition for McEichel.

Columbus will eventually straighten out. They have had a TON of injuries. Though I did think that getting Bob back from his injury would help and it really hasn't.

I think this is a bit backwards - they are winning now because they are scoring, not because the goaltending has gone through the roof. The goaltending has been pretty good all along.

Bob hasn't helped much since his return, agreed. If anything, they might make a trade to shake things up. They have/had some injuries but I haven't paid much attention to them and who is still out of the lineup. I really thought they would compete for a playoff spot this year.

Enroth has been, to me, one of the biggest factors in this streak, especially in the series vs the Habs. I recognize the scoresheet was fat the other day, but he made several Amazon saves I don't think we can count on across an 82-game schedule.

Not meaning to take away from the skaters, who have been much better, but to
Me goaltending has been the difference between winning 2 of our last 6 vs 5-6.

the houston game and the collapse in the second half vs the chiefs and fins will cost them a playoff spot this season

Here's the thing, throughout this franchises history goaltending has never been the issue. Which to me is flat out amazing when you consider a franchise like Philly has always seemed to struggled in that area.

Pretty much, also they are really a one line team right now. Once Girgensons and Ennis cool off as they inevitably will, we will lose some games

The biggest 'competitors' will be Edmonton and Carolina. Possibly NJ. Lamiorello may be the smartest GM in the business and he knows whats at stake.

Carolina should be better once Staal gets back in the lineup. Columbus will be better when healthy. But Edmonton is a franking trainwreck !

Enroth's career sv% is .914. Over his last 5 games, he's had .950, .977, .923, .968, and .932. What we're seeing right now is a team that's getting everything together at once. Stellar goaltending, goal scoring, physical play, etc. Something is bound to drop off somewhere and without everything working all at once, this isn't a very good team.

he has been fun to watch

I wonder how long it will continue

part of it is all on him, the quality of shots he is facing is better then the first 15 games as well

average qb play and you win 2 of those 3 games if not all 3

Dare I say better play calling too?

The problem is you now have 3 lock losses IMO the rest of the way.

They hang on to them too long

Then again when Emery had his first stint they let him go when he played descent
