Disagree completely. He's 21 years old.
- MJL

I like Coots....but he is no Jordan Eberle type talent...

And Ebs is only 24 and already an elite winger. But naaah let's keep the 21 year old who might maybe probably not become a consistent 55 points scorer instead of dealing him for the already sick winger.

I think you guys might overrate Coots. He's a shutdown center and not much more.
- rangerdanger94

i think you overrate our desire to read post from you

So far you are correct, he has not shown the offensive capabilities just yet and may never, so may be destined to be a 3rd line center which is why if the right deal is proposed for him they need to seriously consider it.
- Daceroni

Couturier has absolutely shown the offensive capabilities in past seasons to show that he can be more then just a 3rd line shutdown center.

g for hall straight up? DEAL
- SMS4016

What's that do? Then Hall gets to come here and play with this crap? Same result....probably worse.

I wish they could....but EDM would want more.....Eberle is an elite offensive guy that's proved it at this level.....and he's only 24 years old...

- landros 2

The difference in their cap hit makes the trade value a lot closer.

I just can't see these happening.

Taylor Hall they'd want Giroux so non starter.

BSchenn for Perron, don't like this for the Flyers.

Couts + for Eberle is the closest of the three to reality, depending on the plus.

if someone is willing to make that deal then we might not be overraating him (or at least not the only ones who are)

The only "package" you can put together for Hall would be Voracek + Couturier + Pick for Hall or Giroux for Hall straight up.
- rangerdanger94

" Hall for Giroux straight up" .. Ah... No Thanks!

I would say Voracek and Hall are on same level...never mind throwing in Couturier

I like Perron but I think B Schenn has way more potential plus doesn't Perron have concussion issues? B Schenn has played well lately.
- 3flyerkids

I honestly think they are close to the same at this point and he has had a few concussions yes. I think everyone in the league is one hit away from having concussion issues though!

Well that deal just makes sense. Everyone knows Edmonton is in the market for a big center. It just makes sense.

Sure. Coots has never broken 40 points in his career so far. Eberle has only never broken 40 points in a year once and that was the lockout season where he got 37 points in 48 games.

I wasn't comparing Couturier to Eberle. You need to get on point.

Well you've been shutout 3 times in the past 4 games so maybe you should start valuing them more?
