Did anyone else see in the 3rd period, down 4-2, and the 2nd line got Lundquist to freeze it, then berube changed lines, and before the drop, berube looked like he was yelling at Simmonds on the bench, and Simmonds shook his head and waived him off (basically F U coach)? I was at the game and saw it very clearly, but not sure if it was caught on TV.

Looks like no one saw it dude. No need to post this a fourth time for (frank)'s sake.

They need something to snap them out of this funk - perhaps a classic line brawl like the one against Ottawa, or the one many moons back in Vancouver which gave birth to the Broad Street Bullies. Not to re-create that style of play, but to rally the team around each other and for them to begin to play with a chip on their shoulders again.

They're like watching The Walking Dead.

Hell, If Pat Quinn could coax career years out of Bathe, Busniak, and Barnes, a roll the team to it's 35 game unbeaten streak, certainly this crew could put up at least respectable numbers.

Right there with ya. Last year it was Emery tuning up that goalie from DC. People criticized that but it sure lit a fir uner the team's ass. Somebody needs to step up the emotional game. I thought they would send a message yesterday when they were getting shut out...let the rags know they would not lie down...but hell, it looks like they had their cots shipped up to MSG right after the shutout.

Just an FYI - over the last 9 games, Hartnell has 0 points and is a -5.

No real point to it, just that he's in one of his 'stalled' periods.

I just hate the way Lecavalier doesn't even make an effort. Umberger just isn't good at hockey anymore, but he does try for the most part. Lecavalier looks like he doesn't give a poop anymore

Totally agree, they both need to be scratched or better yet sent home. They are not good for team morale. This is the softest flyer team of all time right now and tough guy Berube really looks like he has lost this group. Simmonds is playing like crap right now and he should be packaged along with one of Vinny or Umberger for a player that has a pulse. This may be the only way to move these culls.

Looks like the stink in the organization goes all the way down to the ECHL, as the goalie who didnt get called up to the Phantoms seems to be purposely playing like Jeff Hackett (positional vertigo retirement) and Bryzaster combined and the team was systemically dysfunctional last night. The only thing missing are the strange quotes from a Russian point of view.

What is the definition of doing the same thing over and over it doesnt work...........

The Greenville team is a Rangers affiliate- same system perhaps ??

Thats not always the case. Teams just shouldn't rely on other teams to do their scouting for them. They can't just assume a top pairing defenseman on another team is a great player.

You mean the guy who has never had a 20 goal season? The guy whose second best goal total in a full season is equal to Read's production during the lockout shortened season?

Boedkker is playing better, right now, no question. But Read has been a better and more productive player over the course of each player's career. I wouldn't go as far as saying Boedker is twice the player Read is
