Agreed, it's a hail marry. 2 year contract for 2 year contract or 3 year for 3 year. Suck for suck and hope it creates a spark/ change of scenery/ other cliché.

Lol. I think thats kinda what they tried with the Hartnell for Umberger deal.

I am stunned.

I just hate the way Lecavalier doesn't even make an effort. Umberger just isn't good at hockey anymore, but he does try for the most part. Lecavalier looks like he doesn't give a poop anymore

There was one play in the third where my friend and I were all "Where the hell is Vinnie going?" when the puck was in his vicinity and he circled around for someone else to get it to him. He disgusts me.

So, are you saying your view is the same as the one you stated. You judge a coach based on how his team plays.

So, based on how his team has played, how has Berube done, in your view? Can you elaborate on that?

- exlund

MJL, can you answer these please?

the -10 is more of a reflection of how poopty his team is. He's still a top 6 forward.

He's been driving me insane ever since he got to Philly. I just don't understand how the team doesn't lose their mind when they see PEB benched "for not working hard enough" when VL is figure skating.

that's good for fifth on the team in points, sixth in goals

meanwhile, Terriberger has struggled to put up a fraction of that while matching the -10

They miss Hartnell a bit. The biggest thing they miss is not having Umberger.

Yes, it seems that is what they thought they tried but I never thought Hartnell was a net negative. I disagree whole heartedly and feel he is a good player that could potentially have a drop off in a few years (yet to be seen). So I personally don't agree or at least think they really missed the mark on that while RJ and Vinny are blatantly shot.

I'm talking Mike Richards or Semin or Clowe or Gionta (potential too good for this list) or Bolland or insert other poor contract here.

After writing this I am feeling sick and need to sit down for a while. Maybe not such a good idea.

It's actually Full Throttle, an old Lucasarts game. It's more of an interactive cartoon, which you can see here: http://youtu.be/BoYdQYWHo...L91hqzg2vfdhDZ56gz-8f_-9H

as for Hartnell, he wouldn't be saving this team right now, but even as a cap dump this trade is kind of a turd. I'd literally rather get Matt Walker than Turdburgler.

Matt Walker was a 1.7 M hit if I remember. So, yes, me too.

Sometimes players just lose it. Rangers saw it last year with Brad Richards. I think Vinny has lost a step and can't keep up anymore.

Not sure why your so hung up on that deal. They took a shorter contract by 2 years(years when they might actually be close to a cup contender), got a pick and got rid of a player that refused to embrace his roll. Hartnell certainly isn't helping Columbus.

hmmm.. the kool aid tastes so good....

Terrible asset management. Say it with me, 'Hexy made a bad trade from day one.'
