I want to know one thing. Does this Flyers team have any pride?
- MJL

I think they do but they can't help it if they don't have the skills.
One line team....that is all we have seen and they play with pride every night. I do like what I have seen from the 17 49 12 line. In the few games he has played Laughton has been MUCH better than 14.

I don't think you can afford to sit MDZ right now. There just isn't a viable option to replace him.

I would bring Manning and Lauridson up, cant be any worst

looking at the December schedule, it doesn't seem like there'll be many if any chances to regroup. This could get uuugly.
- BulliesPhan87

I think another loss today will be all it takes for the ugliness to arrive in full swing.

still getting (frank)ed by tampa players from years gone by. it's so predictable, just like being shut out by back up goalies.

today will be no better, back at msg again. it's embarrassing how bad they are against ny.

glad to see akeson cleared.

also glad to see the return for jvr is now a healthy scratch 3 games in a row, while our offseason insurance policy dman is playing instead.

not to worry everyone, vinny and umberger to the rescue!!!!!

Personally, I can stomach a loss if they play a hard fought game, and compete, and just lose to a better team. I can't stomach a game where they go down feebly, and don't show up and compete. This team can be much better.

First of all, G is far from being moved. His play has almost nothing to do with the failure of this team. We're losing games due to poor depth, asking too much of young players, and an overall tire fire of a 3rd line.

I'm not even sure Hexy makes a move to be honest. Even the best teams had to go through a terrible season at some point.

Age is a huge factor for any team that decides to follow a rebuild. It takes 3 to 4 years to rebuild as an elite team. Problem is your best players are often diminished by the process.

If your going to rebuild you need to consider the time frame implications for your star players. If Giroux can get you Seth Jones plus another #1 pick, why not? If you want McDavid, move Giroux, Voracek and Mason.

I can't get over that JVR trade. It drives me to drink. Homer got jerked off on that from day one. I am slowly letting it go. Now I am trying to deal with the Zombieburger trade. just a franking sht show!

The Phantoms had a chance to tie it in the 2nd last night, with Wedgewood on his back in the crease. One of the Phantoms was able to gather the puck close in on the right side, but Wedgewood made a great glove save.

Saw the Hextall post game Q&A this morning, and he mentioned that the Flyers were playing frustrated yesterday. That's for sure, and it was epitomized by Rinaldo. That late hit for one of his penalties was just horrible, and not something he's been doing this year. I hope they come out a bit more hungry this game and keep control of themselves. Yesterday's effort was horrific.

luke was a healthy scratch when we traded for him, umberger was a healthy scratch when we traded for him also, why are we the only dumbass team to do that...we have a history of trading for healthy scratches from other teams...

pat faloon, alex daigle, and im sure there were more.

If Umberger or Lacavalier had any pride, they'd retire. They are simply embarrassing themselves out there.

I can also stomach a hard fought loss. However we have not seen that in awhile. Three shutout loses in last 5 games.
Can they be better? If so...how much? Have we overrated guys like Read and Couturier? IMO they have done nothing much.
Say what you want about Hartnell but at least the guy played with heart and brought an edge to his game . The return for him has been a disgrace

Id love to see them cut the cord with VLC.

Whatever it takes, do it.

He is back to playing a wing on the 4th line, and has been moved off the #2 PP.

He is ill suited to playing wing and playing on a 4th line.

I'd rather see Leier or Cousins playing on the 4th line with PEB.

Umberger until they buy him out could play 4th line minutes too.

Past time to move on from Vinnie.

Somehow, sadly, Umberger was one of the more noticeable players yesterday. At least he threw a nice hit and went (at a speed rivaling that of a crippled snail) to the net.

Losing Hartnell and Timonen really took the heart out of this team, especially Timonen. I have to wonder if Hextall makes the Hartnell deal if he knows he was going to be without Timonen.

Then again, I'm starting to wonder if Hextall's thinking was why be a bubble team with no shot at the cup, better to just out and out suck and get a top 5 pick in a great draft.

You can't say it any better than that. Unless they have a bet with each other on who can look like the bigger piece of crap
