thanks

it's the team right now that is sad.

if they can't bring their best effort in a nationally televised game against a long time rival, especially after the GM chewed them out less then 2 weeks ago after being embarrassed at MSG, well that is pathetic.

I guess they are not a great team, but most expected them to at least be a bubble team for a wild card shot.

They are much closer to a lottery pick.

I expected them to be bad. The 5 game home winning streak mirage was the worst thing that could happen.

I read that some fans of the Flyers want Hanifin while others don't want the team to tank. If it's not for Eichel and Mcdavid, Hanifin is being talked about going 1st overall. He's just in the wrong draft. But, I'd hate to see him in Flyers sweater, because he's very good.
- tomburton99

you know it sucks when you are talking about a lottery pick at thanksgiving

I'd rather make the playoffs, that is just me

I'm looking at the standings and a huge reason that a team like the Isles are 8 points ahead of us is because the Isles are 5-0 in shootouts and we're 1-4. Isles lose a couple and we win a couple and the gap is suddenly only 4 points and if you switch the results and Isles got 0-5 and we go 4-1 we're ahead of them. So basically the shootout has (frank)ed us and obviously that's our fault but it also skews the standings a bit.
- rangerdanger94

You're right it is our fault we are 1-4 but I'm really starting to get over the shootout having that much of an impact in the standings.

10 min 4v4 OT, then shootout.

2pts reg./ot win
1pt shootout win
0pt. Any loss

I'm confident that 90% of the OT games will end without a shootout. There you go the nhl keeps their exciting shootout but the standings won't be as affected by it.

So basically what youre saying is if you won five games and we lost five games you'd be right up there with us.

I know I'm going to be in the minority on this but I would let Duke go play in the World Juniors. It is only a handful of games where he would be away and I think the experience of playing in the best non-nhl hockey tournament in the world and leading would be an invaluable experience. Lets be honest, the Rangers can get by without the kid for a few games and I think the experience can really help him. I get the other side of this, however.

Yea wouldn't be a bad idea. Let him play 20+ minutes a game and flourish offensively to give him some confidence. If he starts scoring in that tourney he could come back and start scoring more consistently too.

I really want to like Milier but he isn't going to light it up. Even if he did today, this one game wouldn't be enough to make the evaluation that he's actually ready.

Just as Dan Boyle looks to be rounding into form. The team can't catch a break

Glass apparently has the mumps. I didn't even know that still existed.

Another reason to get rid of the mumps plug, Boyle's out with the flu, This team just can not get out of its own way, really feels like a black cloud is following them

I guess AV doesn't want the 3 rookies playing together cause I would move Miller to the Hayes line and bump Stempniak down to Moore's
