Galchenyuk could be a in few years.

Everybody said I was crazy when I said we were not a cup contender this year and not before a few years away.

- deadpoulet

Ya he will be for sure. Every Stanley cup winner has a legit top line centre. Kopitar,
Toews, Bergeron, crosby, etc. I'm sorry, but dd is not going to get the Habs a cup ever

Nope.

Should be the habs number one priority. But if Galchenyuk is that guy why not slot him in there. Move DD or Eller out and bring in a top line winger. IMO that is what the habs need.

I agree. Plek is a good #2. But of you need a goal in the final minute right now, you don't have anybody other than patches that you know should be on the ice as a forward.

Nah. I did in the Leafs thread, though. The guy was very good in the shootout, and in the highlights they showed. Some spectacular saves.

He was very good, but 1 out of 4 points vs the sabres when you are the apparent best team in the east is unacceptable

You could tell at the end he knew he had to win the game by himself because nobody else was going to score

Therrien has been great. Not sure what you guys are talking about.
- deadpoulet

hahahaha. joke!! therrien still has his job because of price. he is a very average coach. the canadiens are so stale. you have to get galchenyuk on the line with pacioretty and parenteau. keep the eller line intact. bergevin has to find a finisher for plekanec and gallagher. as I have said since day 1 the canadiens d is not anywhere close to championship calibre.

A lot of fans in here. That and that I should not be mad if we where not playing Tinordi and Beaulieu.

A Habs referee made fun of me because of that.

Agree. I would move DD or Pleck, they have more value (I would think).

I would get galchy into the middle also. May aswell get him some experience for a run next year. Hopefully they will trade dd for a decent d man in the offseason.

I'd keep plek as your shut down centre, penalty kill guy. DD is not helpful if he isn't getting points.

He would be a good number 2 centre, I would think.

Galchenyuk
DD
Eller.

Galchenyuk might struggle at first, but fans have to be patient. But I don't mind trading DD for a winger either. Maybe Perron (I don't know who else could be on the market that we would want).
