That was a deal that seemed ok at first. I thought Vinny might get more than he signed for in Philly. He is so done.

BTW, I don't think the Jays gave up much at all. They got a star 3rd baseman in his prime and relatively cheap and under control for 4 more years.

Taylor Hall can be as good as them and RNH is also an extremely talented player.

Where they really (frank)ed up was lockout year. They needed Seth Jones and could have had him with a few more losses. They got Nurse instead. Good player but not nearly as good as Jones.

I think everybody knows the Yakupov pick was a mistake. Galchenyuk and Murray would have both been far better picks and they could have traded down to get them too.

Trading up to get Ekblad would have been huge for them too, even if it cost them Yakupov.

Leafs have a better record since the lock-out, but at the end of the day, they have many of the same issues. Leafs just happen to be closer to mediocrity than the Oilers.

The jays paid a steep steep price but got the best player in the deal. Giving up Barreto was foolish.

That was a roomer denied by Melky and his agent. AA set a price for him and Cabrera is looking to see if he can get more. If not, he'll be back. Even without him, Jays have an amazing top of their batting order - Reyes, Donaldson, Jose, Edwin, Martin.

They need help in their bullpen more than anything.

4 of the 5 are our future rotation.. but it would probably be Richardey instead of Norris come April.

I don't like Richardey, and hope we deal him & Thole for a better second basemen..and try and sign or trade for at least one more starter..and get some relief/closer help.

It sucks that Panik is always the odd man out. He reminds me a little bit of Kulemin. He lays the hit, takes the hit, works the boards. I think he has some offensive upside (if given the chance) . He's still young..we got him for free, I feel we shouldn't waste him, and at least give him a chance to show what he can do (and I don't mean the 4th line)

I cringe every time I see Winnik/Clarkson up there with Kadri. No disrespect to either of them, but you got many others that can play up there instead, but the coach chooses not to use them.
