Where did all of the hate start for our neighborhood blogger RW?
I understand many of us don't agree with him on many topics, myself included. But, I can never criticize him for the effort he puts forth in his blogs. He is knowledgeable. Definitely passionate. Blogs consistently. Spurs discussion. That's basically the job description.
Starting to sound like fan message boards where they call for the coach's head. |

Its almost painful watching the officials keep other teams close...its playoffs already for all pens games. I see up to 5 uncalled hooks and clutches that get called against the pens. It is the biggest gripe I have about the nhl. Its not even about not receiving pps..the issue is other teams being allowed to make picks and clutches all the time without fear of a call. Really hampers the skill players we have. Lets have the best players always be allowed to play and not have pluggers hamper them. - taleisyreXIII
Quite honestly, it's doing the Penguins a favor. They weren't scoring 5 on 5 until the PP's dried up, and now they're getting a chance to work out those issues. They're also having to learn to fight through constant clutching and grabbing and interference, which is playoff prep.

For now, Comeau is meshing great with Malkin, like Dupuis did with Crosby. I'd like to see how his production stays over the next month with Malkin, he could be a steal in that 2nd line and lessen our need for a top winger some. Kunitz obviously has had great success with both Malkin and Crosby in different years, and Malkin has more trouble finding synergy with players than Crosby, unfortunately, we need to keep Kunitz there for now. What we need is to find a new winger to man Crosby's line, and another winger who is capable of top line minutes, but better placed bolstering the bottom 6 to keep Sills away from the NHL. - Guile
Of all the wingers who have played with Malkin so far this year, Comeau has looked the best. Better than Kunitz and better than Horny even.
Find Sid a left wing and they're done, I think. |

What this guy said.
I'm all for adversity in the regular season. Things have been way too easy around here the past few years.
I want any false sense of security this team has gone by late March. |

Oh, and I disagree with Ryan all the time, and believe that advanced stats are fundamentally flawed and poorly understood by their own proponents. But RW knows hockey, and does a good job of not only posting regular blogs, but posting things that get conversations started.
I've been here through three or four Pens bloggers, and RW is the best of the bunch (no offense to those who came before). |

Ryan has been posting here for a lot longer than some of you clowns who are showing some pretty poopty attitudes. He is putting effort into his blogs, we could be reading Garth. Show some (frank)ing gratitude.
I don't always agree with him, and he knows it but I appreciate his work and effort.
If you don't. You can (frank) off. - Ben37
In my experience, people are scared of what they don't understand. When something is new and fancy and you have someone who understands it and uses it, the common folk fear it bc it makes them look dumb...
Soo (frank) you RW!
I do like the pretty charts... hope we see some new names on it in next few weeks... |

I guess what makes people mad sometimes is that when they say something here on the blog, some old posters just refute or ignore some of the good ideas thrown here and when Gunner says exactly the same thing, people cheer and praise him like a cattle or sheeps haha I've seen this many times here.
Keep up the good work Gunner/RW. Your writing is damn fine! |

Ebbett recalled.... 4th line not looking so good now... need for top 6 winger or two will let downie Spaling move down a line to help balance lines and make more of a threat..
What's the over under on the toi for sill ebbett adams line?

Ek has boedker going east. Wouldn't mind him.
RW, has a good blog, something interesting to read everyday at work. Good debates and stupid trade proposals keep a slow day intriguing. |

Yeah I have limited knowledge of other rosters but my order would be, niño, boedker, Perron, tlisty, for guys that wouldn't break the bank. If we're going big, Kane. |

For nino it would have to involve martin.. but is it nino + for martin or martin + for nino.. who has higher trade value...
But honestly I would just want picks for martin unless he can swing us a name like e.kane or eberle... yet both places martin won't waive to go to... IMO with martin being a ufa he waives for minny...
Scuds should waive for nyi, even tho they don't really need him..
I would say spaling doesn't get moved if sutter does now that goc out for a bit.. |

Yeah I agree. Doubt NYi moves anyone this year. A broken grabber might be available. |

That team needs defensive help, they are the perfect trade partner. When their entire defense is healthy, it doesn't look bad, but Jackman will most likely be gone next year and gunnarsson in 2 years leaving a big hole none of their prospects appear to be able to fill. They really could use a defenseman who could play in the top 4 with a very low cap hit or ELC (despres, Harrington, pouliot?) so they can use other money to sign tarasenko and Schwartz. It's also why I think oshie may be gone soon because he will need a big raise and guys like rattie, barbashev, and fabbri can replace him in 2-3 years |
