I wouldn't do perron for sutter straight up, sutter is a much more valuable player in my eyes at least. He's a great center, great faceoff man, plays full ice, our best pk guy and he would easily be a teams #2 center if he wasn't stuck behind geno and sid. Perron provides scoring touch which would be nice, haven't seen as many games as the oil fans but we need a guy who will fight in the corners and stand in front of shots with no hesitation. Not sure if he plays like that but sutter does and is key to our teams success. If anything I would give up a d prospect and a few picks (2nd and 2nd/3rd) oh, and you guys can have scuderi - znagle
i doubt that |

Jordan Eberle for Brock Nelson + is the kind of deal Craig should be looking at IMO. Big young Center who's starting to click offensively. - LeftCoaster
Hmm Thats not a bad start but the + would have to be something very interesting. |

Of course not.
He had 26 points last year. That's a worse 2c than we have.

U haven't actually seen him play have you?
And don't bother with the typical, 'yes I have many times'.
Uve proven u haven't with the absolutely ridiculous one dimensional scorer nonsense - hugefemale dog77

Dude.
I'm not trying to convince u to do the deal as i'm just the opposite. I wouldn't trade perron for sutter either.
But perron is exactly what u described. He's an absolute battler. He's as comfortable fighting on the boards as he is dangling in traffic.
He's gritty and dirty and skilled. A player u love to have on your team.
that said;
I'd consider despres... - hugefemale dog77
Despres is developing into a nice player. After years of watching our D get pushed around Id be reluctant to move him. I'd like to see what some of our other kids can do before they move him. |

I'd trade Sutter before I thought about trading Despres. He'll be Martin's replacement next year. |

If you're really not even much, if at all, of an improvement on Edmontons center depth, then chances are you're a 3C everywhere |

Right, I forgot i'm dealing with the same group that for years thought Ales Hemsky was worth a 1st round pick. How's that 3rd and 5th and retained salary working out for ya? |

I agree. I think sutter will want out after next year like Staal. |

Horcoff hit 70 points at one time. Had a few years at a PPG. |

is he? well let's forget the previous 400 career games and focus on the 20 this year.
Sutter's a 3C and not even a great one. EDM would never do that - TheNugeIsHuge
In those 400 games Perron has been a 40-50pt winger and I said maybe at 25 years of age Sutter was starting to come around offensively. But lets just blast the parts of the post I don't like... |

Sorry our bad. Eberle and Nurse for Clarkson?? Clarkson is such a steal on that contract so he's totally worth it as you seem to think. |

Pretty sure it was Eberle/Nurse+ for Clarkson/Kadri/Gardiner+. And I seem to recall your GM backing up the brinks truck to Clarkson's front door. Just giving him what he originally wanted! |

Serious Question, why do leafs fans proposals always end up being 5 for 5 deals with all the guys that they complain about being sent out? |

I think you miss the part where he's stuck behind two of the best in the game.. or maybe its the part where these were his linemates...Tanner Glass, Craig Adams, Chris Conner, Joe Vitale, Jayson Megna, Taylor Pyatt, Andrew Ebbett, Brian Gibbons, Lee Stempniak, Dustin Jeffrey, Chuck Kobasew, Beau Bennett.
This year he is paired with downie and Spaling, bennet, megna and has 11 points in 21 games. Makes a little more sense now that he has decent wingers, think what he can do with actual top 6 guys. |

Well in that case, this changes everything.
Since hemsky went for less a full two years after some fans thought he was worth a first; low ball away! Well take your offers! Any offer!
It's like there's a stupidity prerequisite to post on hb....
