he's day to day, participating in full practices. i think they're just trying to get his conditioning back up before he goes in. - sensarmy_11
Great to hear! I'm looking forward to him being back in the lineup |

perron has that in his game though, good one year, struggles the next. like i said, i don't think these teams are good trading partners, just seemed like a move that would help both teams. - sensarmy_11
mmmm not too sure. His game has looked fine this year. Just nothing's going in for him. This one good, one bad year thing you're thinking of may be credited to missing a season+ to concussion problems |

I've played against Ward and Lupul, played on the same team as Johnny Boychuk. Those are just the names I remember. - SpoiledByOil
I got all yall beat. I used to play against Crosby. |

same. it will be nice to see karlsson have a consistent partner, rather than a revolving door of bottom pairing quality partners. |

The Oilers are my second team that I love to watch.
Like Ottawa, they really need to improve the back end. Obviously they need a legitimate # 1 goalie as well but IMO they need to move a couple pieces for a top end defender.
Ya gotta believe that Yandle is on Mac T's radar. With that being said, im sure alot of GM's have kicked tires on him (which drives up his value) but Edmonton definately has the pieces to get a deal done.
What would Oil fans be willing to give up? Please don't offer a Perron for Yandle cause theirs no chance that happens. I think were beggining to see a shift in value regarding acquiring a top end Defensman. IMO you need to give up alot more now to land a top quality 1-2 D man. - SENS 613
I would be comfortable with Perron, Schutlz and a 3rd, with the right coaching Schultz could become and Yandle-esk player. Would they do that though? I dunno probably not |

that's entirely possible, you would definitely know more than me. being on the east coast of canada, i don't get to see a lot of western conf teams, really only have the stats to base my opinion off of. |

i played against marc savard all through high school (for 2 years til he went to the OHL). i was pretty good, he made me look like a female dog every shift.......i fully understand why he got drafted, should have been a top 10 pick (was a small guy in the "big guy" era) - sensarmy_11
Savard was a champ |

We should just try for something useful out of Caroina, Ward is not that something useful - SpoiledByOil
If we took Wards or Semins salary maybe we could send Nikitins salary back and get Tlusty or something. With extras needing to be added obviously. |

i think he led teh CHL (or maybe it was just the OHL) in scoring 2 or 3 times, and was drafted in like the 4th or 5th rd. |

I used to play against Cam Ward, I have no clue how he made it out of Juniors, he is just not a good goalie at all.
I wouldn't even take him for free at league min - SpoiledByOil
Weird.
I played WITH cam ward for two years.
He's a year older than me, but we played together my first year of pee wee and my my first year of bantam (minor ab)on the Sherwood park flyers. (Both times his second year)
He was always good I thought.
It just worked out that my year was the weaker of every two years he'd spend in each category if u follow my meaning. And both times he carried us to winning records.
He's an effing acrobat.
And his early nhl career was pretty phenomenal too I thought.
Can't say I know much about now though |

Especially if you get it on the face.
Maybe he finds his game(highly unlikely) but there are rumors he retires and goes to the KHL which is good with me. |

I think ARZ would want to swap Schultz for Petry then it probably gets done. |

He really only had 1 good year in the NHL and i wouldn't consider it phenomenal at all either. you probably seen him more than me, from my memory though, he just was not good at all.
If you take out his one good year he has a career save % of .904 |

If i put Petry in over Schultz i probably take out the draft pick. The only reason i would be ok with this is because i have a feeling Petry is gone next year anyways |

Phenomenal May have been an overstatement. I still have nightmares of the finals I guess.
I just thought he had a really strong first few years of his career.
Conn smythe. Olympic consideration etc.
But to be fair, I didn't see a lot of him outside of highlight reels.
And can't back it up with numbers.
As far as when we were kids, maybe u guys lit him up a bunch.
But he carried us in both my rookie years. My year was so much weaker and he didn't have a ton of help but we were a pretty decent team anyway. A lot due to him.
Curious, who'd u play for? |

I think AZ has to get an Eberle type forward or a solid package of picks/prospects.
Perron helps AZ, but Schultz/3rd or Petry doesn't. Especially for their best trading chip. |

Honestly, i should have made the deal around Eberle, I'd rather trade him before Perron anyways. |

I agree and disagree, Petry or Schutlz would help soften the blow of losing Yandle. |

AZ has decent depth at D. Reason why Yandle can be shopped. |
