perron for methot + conditional 2016 2nd (if methot walks)

2nd line winger who's struggling, for 2-3 d-man who could potentially walk

risk/reward for both teams is about even.

I really would like to keep Perron but Methot is intriguing. I don't see Methot as a number 1 like I've been sold before though.

Perron Petry 4th for Methot and maybe Macarthur.(would rather a C but you don't really have one that fit a 2C that you would give up

difference between struggling and having a 96 PDO/shooting at <4%

Methot is nothing EDM doesn't have in Petry/Fayne. He'll also want upwards of 5M this summer and could always walk to a contender. A mid-2nd doesn't cushion the blow

IMO, he would be on the top pairing in edmonton, and would probably be the best overall d-man until nurse or marincin hit their stride. he's not out of place on the top line, plays very well with karlsson, so might help schultz (who plays a similar style)

he's day to day, participating in full practices. i think they're just trying to get his conditioning back up before he goes in.

He is still good?

There was a time when I woulda said he was one of the most underrated goalies in the game.
So talented.

But I haven't heard a lot of great stuff over the last couple years.

I played against Keegan Lowe. How that kid got drafted blows my mind. Dylan Simpson was not bad though.

The Oilers are my second team that I love to watch.

Like Ottawa, they really need to improve the back end. Obviously they need a legitimate # 1 goalie as well but IMO they need to move a couple pieces for a top end defender.

Ya gotta believe that Yandle is on Mac T's radar. With that being said, im sure alot of GM's have kicked tires on him (which drives up his value) but Edmonton definately has the pieces to get a deal done.

What would Oil fans be willing to give up? Please don't offer a Perron for Yandle cause theirs no chance that happens. I think were beggining to see a shift in value regarding acquiring a top end Defensman. IMO you need to give up alot more now to land a top quality 1-2 D man.

i played against marc savard all through high school (for 2 years til he went to the OHL). i was pretty good, he made me look like a female dog every shift.......i fully understand why he got drafted, should have been a top 10 pick (was a small guy in the "big guy" era)

I am hoping that sitting him for a couple games has the same effect as last season when they sent him down to Bingo.

Next to Paul Maclean, Zibby has been the biggest disspointment so far this season.

I've played against Ward and Lupul, played on the same team as Johnny Boychuk. Those are just the names I remember.
