What, might I ask, is wrong with country?
Do you happen to dislike beer and boobs? Because that accounts for 98% of the content of country music
Oh yea and trucks. Sorry it's more like 68% trucks, 30% beer and boobs, 2% misc

Poor Oil fans. They may be arrogant (We are to) Its hard to watch this anymore.

They had their glory in the 80's. I guess thats why the hockey gods told them to "Slow the fukk down"

They've had their fun.

But honestly. I do feel bad for those arrogant Jerks in Edmonton

I don't. They are going to get Connor McJesus and either ruin his career or start another dynasty.
Edit: in either case, they can go (frank) themselves, those selfish bastards. If they had any integrity they would come in 16th like us in Vancouver

Oil just hit $69 a barrel, another $10 drop and a lot of them will be out of work. The Canadian $ has lost 4 cent over the last 90 days. That team is headed to Seattle

Let me guess. Mac T will trade for yet another soft, small forward who refuses to back check. And then we will here from Iggy about how their not gonna give away one of their players for nothing. That people need to be patient. Darnell Nurse can walk on water. Nuge is better then datsyuk ever was etc. Its all the coaches fault
- Bieksa#3

I do t think there is a single Oilers fan that feels that way, especially not Iggy. You really did a lot paint chips as a child didn't you?

McDavid will fix them right up. More youth! Youth is the best. They should guarantee him a spot on the first line and over twenty minutes a night. Victory will be theirs.

The sad reality is that the oilers will probably get a top 2 pick. Do t know as much about Eichel but he's a winger, no? Regardless, it's a god damned shame but if it happens, what would you guys do? I would have to think we need to either trade it or cut ties with a couple of Hall, Ebs, Draisaitl, Yak, Perron, Nuge and most certainly Purcell to get a proper top line Defender.

I think MacT or whoever is running the team would be wise to cut ties with some of the "old blood" ( is it possible to call them that ) and get a fresh start, especially if the pick is 1OA. From what I understand, this is not a pick that should be traded.
Edit: from what I've heard, McDavid's work ethic is (frank)ing insane

I dunno man. The things that the Oil really need are not easy things to get and I can't see any gm trading a potential lottery pick in a draft as hyped as this one.

If they are going to start moving out some of their key guys, do you trust MacT to do it? You can only trade these guys once.

Only 2 players left from Day 1 of the rebuild. Hall and Ebs. If they could parlay those 2 ( plus some others)into a 1 D-Man , a goalie and some more anger and ferocity in their bottom 6 I would consider it. Might change the culture and could definately fill some major holes.

Say what you want about Mac T, but has he lost a trade yet? Some of his UFA signings have been questionable but his trades for Hendricks, Scrivens, Fasth and Perron were all pretty good deals for the Oil. Of course he made some minor deals that nobody remembers because they were fairly neutral.

I wouldn't trade Taylor Hall unless I absolutely had to if I were you. I think your best bet would be to trade Draisaitl + Eberle/Yak/Perron and maybe another piece for a guy like OEL. You can't afford to trade Nuge, you have nobody else to play 1C. Hall could be expendable in theory but I don't think he should be traded unless it is straight up for Subban, Pietro, etc. and that is just not going to happen.

Take a look at the other thread and you tell me.

I cant speak a word of honest opinion (Honest, Not stupid) and you always go out of your way to get your panties in a bunch.

Instead of taking it as attacking, try to think of it as two individuals simply talking hockey.

You dont really seem to have a problem with the rest of the nucks fans. But man do you like to get angry when I post a simple (not offensive) opinion on your thread.

But none of those approach what he may be about to do. So far he, and Tambo-smile-and-pick-first-overall-llini, have traded around their core, without much success. And now,MacT's best trade by far, Perron, is allegedly on the block, after less than a season and a quarter in Edmonton.

I suppose but he has a pretty good trader in Scott Howson backing him up. Too little too late but he did a great job in Columbus . Davidson arrived and wanted his own guy so he was canned.

Not everyday is gonna be chill hommes , especially this last 2 weeks in Oilersville. But c'mon man, don't take it too personally, especially on a forum where sarcasm, humour and stupidity are often confused with one another. Plus it's been trill battling central over there for the past week so there's bound to be innocents caught in the cross fire. For the record, you don't have to like me, but I don't have any issues with you.

I was thinking either Yandle or OEL would be a great fit for them too. If they do have a chance to draft either Eichal or McDavid, they can trade Ebs, Yak, or even Hall, and end up with a net gain.

Even a guy like Draisaitl, you could trade him now, but his value isn't that high. I'd rather hold on to him, and ensure he becomes the player he is supposed to.

Yeah I wouldn't be trading Draisaitl for Martin Erat or anything, that's for sure.

How has all this losing affected Edmonton dude? It's been years since this team has been competitive, yet fans keep going to the games. Someone should set up a protest in front of Rexall and really let Katz know that enough is enough. Get a thousand people out voicing their opinions, invite the press, and revel in the anarchy.

Hard to say. People are pissed, that's for sure. You probably can't relate but since the dynasty days we had to deal with being a poor team, being un attractive to free agents etc, and Sather/Lowe had to scratch and claw to keep us competitive enough for the 8th seed most years. Let's face it. The only chance the Oilersbhad was to rebuild, and 5 years was a stupid plan. How long does an expansion team usually take to get traction? 10 years? Taylor Halls draft year we had a worse roster than most recent expansion teams , with only Eberle, Petry and MPS in the system.

Trust me, it sucks, but most people realize it's just a game and are not gonna go out of their way to get managements attention.
