Terrible? I don't think so, he's been one of the Kings best players this season and is a solid playoff performer. His contract will look better as the cap goes up. He is only slightly over paid IMO. I think Kings should and will hold on to him.

Brodeur, if he signs with the Blues, can only help out the Blues in the short term while Elliot is injured. He, if signed, will be waived with the expectation of terminating his contract, once Elliot is healthy. How can that be a bad move by the Blues. He helps mentor allen for a few weeks and give him some knowledge. If he plays well then another team might claim him.
