Having a Malkin vs. Crosby showdown in my fantasy hockey matchup this week. Geno's putting my team on his back! Obviously you can't trade Geno. And quietly, so is Letang. |

Four, actually. The one on Crosby's spinarama backhand got switched to Hornqvist who clearly kicked the puck over to Crosby on the goal. Not sure how he wasn't credited to begin with. Not to toot my own horn, but I work assists at the Notre Dame games, and that one was child's play
True talk though, Letang has slain on my fantasy team. Couple him with the fact that I picked up Sami Vatenen, T.J. Brodie, and Justin Faulk off wavers and I may have the best d core in my league. |

Letang is quietly having a solid year. 17 points (5th among dmen), and he also has the most short handed TOI per game than any of the top 10 D point scorers. Letang is being used in every situation and is showing some solid results. Definitely earning his paycheck |

It's something to consider depending on the haul and how they end up this year. Had Shero not been canned and JR made the adjustments, it might have been necessary, not so sure anymore. Dude is a beast, combining his size, skill and speed, I dont think you can match it. I wish he would use his body more. He could destroy ppl if he wanetd to like against NYR.
Just watched the highlights, looked like an exciting game. 87's PP pass to 58 was weak, right idea, just no muscle on it.
Going back a few posts, some people are wondering where the 87 criticism is. It's there, but year after year over the course of the season hes at the top of the pt totals, same with 71. They are doing their part in the reg season. Now an 82 gm season is stupid and no body can be 100% for that time and everyone will have some sucky games. Come playoff time though, the last few seasons the team has basicially been 87 and 71. Shut them down, there isnt a whole lot left. Combine that with terrible defensive play, you will not have a lot of success. The criticism is there, but in reality those teams werent playoff teams.
Congrats to Comeau, he has been a great pick up, and 58 is a beast! Glad to see his name out of stupid trade proposals. At least for today. |

Never wanted to trade him, it's always fun though playing armchair GM and discussing what he can fetch in a trade

I'd only think about trading Geno, Sid or Letang If we had many many holes on our team. That's not the case. Hopefully We'll never trade any of them. |

No matter what package were to be put together for those guys, the Penguins would be assured of not getting an equal player in return.
Blue chip players are hard to find in the NHL. No reason to trade them once you've got them. |

So, I was bored and looking at the standings. God our division sucks.
Florida, Ottawa, Boston and Toronto all ahead of Rangers, Flyers, Devils and Columbus for a wild card spot... The only team behind them in the standings is Buffalo.

I love how Johnston threw Megna right out there last night. No training wheels. He looks like he can easily replace a fourth liner and penalty killer this season. |

He certainly did. I was impressed with how much his game has grown over the past year.
As for Seto, I have no answer. If you are going to play Craig Adams just 3 minutes at even strength, why not pick him up.
Oh well, I think JR knows he can get Tlusty from Carolina and I think he knows its just a waiting game. |

Setoguchi must have some serious holes on his game. He probably is a poor two way forward otherwise He'd stick in the NHL. He's got some pedigree. |
